Ok, my Nord subscription is set to end in December and I’m considering Surf Shark. I know I could just sign up and try out SS for myself and cancel if I want but I’d rather just get some input from those of you that have used Nord and SS which one you like better and why. Please give me your thoughts.
Not sure, but didnt nord purchase surfshark? cant remember but as always test a service first. What works for me might not for you.
I hate to say this, but their all basically the same. Have done extensive testing of Proton, SS, Express & Nord (in order of my favorites, neck and neck) and they all buffer and buffer at the same time, or when theirs a channel blip all of them do too. Lots of back and forth last, say 6 months and honestly again the difference is negligible for me.
Very true and I am considering that. I just don’t want to have to sign up for a plan and then go through the motions of canceling it. So I’m just trying to get some feelers on what others think about the two services.
I guess most of us are still clueless what settings we should use
Troy has a fantastic post looking at VPN setting to get the best connection speed using a VPN - sometimes the fastest connection is NOT what the VPN thinks is
Yes. When I first started with Nord, you could look at all the different server options, see the load, test the speed and choose the exact one you wanted. Now you get what you get as it chooses for you in the area you choose. If you like that server you need to remember that number or save as a favorite. They need to offer advanced settings for those of us that are not a novice.
