Amber Baby’s Strong has been great the last week or two. Better than my other provider (Lemo). But during the NFL game I’m running the two side by side on separate TVs and Lemo is flawless while Strong has had quick buffers/pauses all through the game. Wanted to test bc the big NFL games generally have the most buffering for me.
All in all it’s not bad. Very brief buffering that is really just a quick pause. But it’s definitely doing it a lot. And I’ve tried a dozen different NBC channels. (Not seeing a Thu Night NFL channel under NFL PPV).
I was having buffer issues as well. But it was all channels, not just the game. I tried Ipvanish and Surfshark. Same on both. I just got the strong8k a couple of weeks ago as well. It was running great.
I think I resolved my issue though by connecting to another country. Was running great for the rest of the time. I was using Surfshark.Paid Tivimate as well. Restarted the app and cleared the cache. Did all the stuff they say to try in here. Sunday will be another good test. I’m not gonna complain to much for $33 a year. Lord knows I blow that on my caffeine drinks in a week.
Do you have a VPN? If so then switch your servers to one close to where the game is being held, it may help. Do a search on the site as this comes up every year. Also be sure the VPN you are using has not been overloaded. I keep mine below %65 load. I also have found that switching servers in the same server farm can help as some seem to be a tad glitchy at times. I have found my steadiest streams come from Toronto, Montreal, New York, Texas, LA, Detroit and the Netherlands. The Netherlands seem to work best for me for SkySports when a North American Server starts buffering. I have favourite server locations saved and that makes it quicker to switch servers instead of hunting for another one. Afterall you don’t want to miss that vital interception.
The first few weeks I had no issues. I watch NBC and CBS news a lot at 6 PM and then the national 6:30 PM news and have had no issues. Just the last few nights, I’ve had issues on BBC World News with the slight blip and then several of “looping”. If I change the channel and come right back it resolves. Yes, annoying because with all the hype, I wanted it to be nearly perfect. We will keep watch. Maybe I’ll try an overseas server on S Shark.
I don’t generally turn on a VPN with any of the services I’ve ever used. Should I? Maybe. But never have. Strong has been pretty much buffer free, even during baseball which my wife watches several times a week and sometimes has minor buffering with Lemo. But NFL is always the test and Lemo did a lot better. Not a big deal, just wanted to post for what it’s worth.
I don’t use a VPN either. Never had an issue. Also have Strong as my backup service. Been watching a lot of baseball on it not seeing much buffering. Haven’t watched any Football on it
I prefer my privacy and security so I use a VPN at all times, Proton to be exact. I use the Strong 8K and don’t have any issues with buffering at all. Good quality feeds imho.
Yes, I’ve experienced the same. When first purchased it was great, that’s first few days. As the week progressed the buffering started, freezing as well. Its reasonably priced but has proven not to be strong.
I agree with @SoloWarrior I watched all day without any issues at all. No buffering here. Took a break to watch the US Open and it was also flawless. Nice to have the football back. Have a buffer free day everyone.
I had a much better experience yesterday, watching NFL for most of the day with very few buffers - like less than 5 all day. Could have just been an issue with the feeds on that first night bc it was very noticeable and frequent on Thursday. Outside of that it’s really been pretty good. And with the sellers panel I was able to customize the bouquet to make the organization a lot better. I sat with chatGPT and asked what a lot of groups were and found out that there were several int’l streamers included that I didn’t need, and then just trimmed down some of the groups to clean it up a bit. Found that having some overlap in multiple different groups actually was a little handy when watching college football action because some of the less popular games were shown on 3 channels vs. the 1 on Lemo, which let me switch when one started to buffer just a bit.
