Why is it everytime I have an issue with Stremio or Nuvio I can always rely on Syncler to give me good feeds. Stremio and Nuvio are Ok , just not as stellar, IMHO, as I would like. Is it me or just something I’m not doing right? I have both setup as shown in Troy’s videveryone feel eos and neither really give me the content I kind of expected. In Nuvio, after redoing it to the latest Troy video, all the shows is AIO. Content shows up both the majority of time it buffers, which I haven’t had in awhile. Just don’t play anything. Stremio can be a nightmare because a lot of content shows up but only a few thinfs play. Syncler, however never fails and plays all the time. People don’t mention Syncler that much because of the other two, but it is reliable more than the other two. How’s everyone feel about the ease of use, quality and content?
I can’t honestly say. I tried Syncler about a year ago and didn’t like it at all. Way to unstable for sources and doing everything but a backflip to get it working. I have never found I can’t get a source to watch anything that I want to in Stremio or Nuvio, and everything plays for me except Dolby Digital which Samsung won’t play anyway, and DTS sound is a codec my Buzz doesn’t play. Love Stremio for things like a series I watch or am binging it always takes me to the exact source that I used for the previous episode when going to the next. No searching needed. In Nuvio I love the Monthly calendar. I love I don’t need Trakt either as both keep track for me. Lots more features I am so use to I love em both.
This is exactly why it’s so great that we have many options and find one that works best for us. We’re each different.
It’s the same reason why people really like Debrid Stream, like they looked at the baseline stremio experience and went to streamline it. Some people REALLY like that. Nuvio is still with the new car scent too so I don’t hold too much against it but I think it’s rolling strong.
I like debrid stream and think it would be the app I would use if I wanted to set something up for someone that was used to the hulu and netflix type apps, but wanted to get away from them.
I use weyd mostly, then wuplay, nuvio and strmr in no order.
it’s just the opposite for me, I love Nuvio, I have no issues with it, but I had nothing but trouble w/ Stremio (and yes, I followed the TroyPoint how to video). I rarely experience buffering with Nuvio, but the few times it’s happened, I just restarted my ONN device and it went away. I’ve not used Syncler
I use Stremio and find many streams for what we want to watch. I have Nuvio installed and setup, but I just seem to use Stremio because it is just what I am use to using.
“Have to not find streams” ? Are you having problems finding streams? Or are you able to find streams?
to have or have not, that is the question.
LOL..guess I should proof read before I hit the post button. We find numerous streams for what we want to watch on Stremio.
Yeah, that’s fine. Being real here i do think Nuvio is a stronger program, but like if you don’t need the bells and whistles Stremio will continue to work just fine.
@teehar , I didn’t know you were a fan of the classics…
You better ask Itzme. Just to be sure.
Interesting replies and I do agree with all. I use to have reall success with Stremio and now it seems way too much stuff in addons that don’t really work. Even Nuvio started out really well and now not so good since I redid it with Troys video and it’s AIO streams. Syncler is fairly reliable and works well but subtitles are weird. Going to go back to Kodi as an experiment. I love to mess around with all of them and I’m constantly trying new things
Hey Remy. I have absolutely no problem with Stremio providing me with many sources that I can play. Same goes for Nuvio. When you can’t then it is simply not knowing how to configure the addons and of course free streams are rare and certainly do not provide a stable playback most of the time. Debridio with TorBox and Premiumize work exceptionally well as does Duck Streams, Meteor, Sootio, TorrentioTB and TorrentioPM and comet to name but a few. I use Debridio and DuckStreams almost exclusively and watch everything I look for and never scrape for anything less than 1080. 4K HDR 10+ are my most favourite sources. Debridio streams never buffer for me, but then neither do most sources I find.
This is similar to our Kodi vs Stremio comparison ( Stremio vs Kodi: Which Streaming App is Better in 2026? ). Most of this is based on user preference and what works best for you and your setup!
Agree. I see daily posts about Kodi problems and issues and wonder why anyone would bother. But I am also biased when it comes to Nuvio and Stremio. There really isn’t any need for another survey. Kodi, Stremio, and Nuvio are all top quality apps that serve different people in this habit, in different ways. Not one is better than the other, what they are is our chance to choose, experiment and learn what suits us best.
I think what I’ll do is strip everything down to nothing and reinstall everything. Might be a matter of conflicting junk. I love experimenting so it’s no biggie to start fresh on everything
Hey Remy. I had issues for two days solid. Completely stripped down to bare bones and tried everything. Nothing would work. Now you may not believe this, but what I ended up doing was cancelling my account completely and registering a new one. Wow what a difference. A fresh cloud storage and completely new configuration and I was up and running in less than a half hour. I contributed it to a damaged or bad cloud storage but may have been as you suggest, something messed up. So give that a go. It’s an easy process and I just used one of my alias emails from my Nord account, but any different email will do. Once I started a whole new account it was like day and night. No more frustration and with all the practice with addons I already knew how to configure them so it was quick.
I was actually going to recommend something similar. I got rid of several addons in stremio, cleared the cache, switched from RD to TB and it’s been running great. Plenty of good playable links, subtitles work well.
