Stremio update has a new look to UI

What device are you using?

Minix U22xj Max. Android OS. And those downloads are working on my device.

I just checked and those don’t appear on the Android TV device listings on stremio.com site. So all good.

Many thanks and safe flight🙏🏻

Just checked their site again. Seems they have done away with the highlighted boxes and recommended downloads.

No problem.

I just checked as well. Wow that isn’t good. Now they’ve made it awkward for ppl to get the proper download. All thes updates are not helping and quite the contrary, are making things more difficult.

for stock try the arm version

Agreed. I have sent them a support ticket, asking them to reinstate the boxes with highlights to help people download the correct version for their download.

Just had a reply from Stremio support on their new web page and downloads:

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out! If you visit stremio.com, the very first download link you see will be for your specific device.

Best Regards,
Stremio Support Team

Good to know for those in doubt.

I found a few different versions on the apptoide app downloader code 545293.I really don’t have a problem with 1.61 but would like to download an older version for back up. It will be on Onn android tv.I was thinking maybe I could disable 1.61 in app settings and install an older version , sign in and see what happens. I have no idea how to save the one I’m using now.Has anyone tried something like this? That way I can check out 1.61 a little more before I trash it.

Use a file manager like es file explorer and make a backup copy.

Thanks I think I remember how to do that. I’ve used that app before it’s been a long time.So I suppose I would have to back it up and then delete the original and then download an older version.

I now prefer cx explorer. But you have to download the version you want. Then backup the existing version, before you uninstall it. You cannot install it, unless you uninstall the existing one on your device.

And then install the version you want. And then i suggest you back up the version you have just installed.

Now you have a choice from your backups if which app version to use, should one of them not be to your liking.

Thanks for the info much appreciated.

Just a tip. If you back up apps to your device and are running out of space use an SD card or usb stick. And format as portable.

That way you can use the sd card or usb to plug into any device and install from those backup apps. Providing those app versions are suitable for the other device.

In cx explorer got to apps, select the app you wish to back up, long click and look for back up menu on your page and back up. This will normally go into your internal storage.

Back into cx explorer>internal storage. Look for backups, long click on the apps you want until they are highlighted.

Depending on your device, at the bottom of the screen there is a menu.

Click on " move".

Back out of that until you are on to cx explorer page. Click on SD card or usb and when that opens, at the bottom of the page, look for " paste" and click on it.

You now have the backup on your sd card.

Hope that helps. If you get stuck or are unsure, just pm me.

Thanks I got it backed up and downloaded another version that I kind of like.
