I like the new look. Some don’t. What says the TP crowd?
I installed it on my phone today. My first impression is positive. I tried the update on my Shield Pro last month and hated it, so now I’ll have to test this new apk on the Shield. At least I have the older apk in case this new layout sucks.
What version is this new update?
I have version 1.6.1 on Shield, on phone is version 1.5.9

Was the update 1.6.1 That’s what the update is on my Onn. I’ve still got the old version on firestick.

Yes. 1.6.1 At least they fixed the addon issue where you actually had to go to netlify to get addons. I have seen issues regarding trakt integration not working, but I don’t use trakt.

I’m still using 1.5.8 and I think I’ll stay there. I remember I updated it and screwed up how Stremio works on my 4K Maxx so I’m just going to leave it as it is
I still like the 1.5.7 layout much better, as well as the way to manage options and add ons.
I still have v. 1.5.11
I looked on the Play Store and did not see any update.
Between the shield and the stremio does the skin looks the same or different.
The visuals on my Shield, as well as the entire layout, is different than my phone. I did find that I can go into settings>interface>themes> Default Stream Marquee and get a similar style main page but the movies no longer allow for clicking on an actor or director and getting additional info. Sources are now displayed horizontally and if you have a favourite like RD+ you have to know which scraper to click. Mine shows 5 Torrentio.
I definately do not like this new layout. Less info and way harder to see your sources.

My playstore update this morning for my Shield Pro is 1.6.1
This is what the Play Store is showing on my Shield. I think I am going to look on the net for a more updated version.
How odd. I just updated from the playstore this morning and the update is 1.6.1 Double the size of yours. Wow.
Ok, I am on the Stremio site right now and it is offering four 1.6.1 downloads, but I am not certain which one I should download.
My device info is on the right. This is my 2019 Shielkd Pro.
Which version did you download?
You want the arm64. The 3rd one down in your pic.

you don’t need x86 architecture just the plain 64 as the shield pro is arm 64 while the tube is 32. If on the Stremio downloads site you should be able to scroll down until you find a download highlighted with a grey background and the word "recommended " displayed.
