The majority of times i watch a Series, i get audio/ subtitle sync issues during an episode.
I know you can adjust this by advancing or retarding the system by way of the subtitles icon.
The episode starts ok, but seems to occur, when the episode moves to a different part of the story. Could this be when the adverts are being shown and this app has bi passed the adverts on the original tv show… And thus the sync issue.
Or, is there any way of preventing or a setting i can use to stabilise subtitles to a default of always automatically syncing throughout the episodes?
Never thought of that but it does seem logical. I have noticed on a few channels that don’t show commercial but instead just show a message board saying a commercial is in progress. Well, I have noticed a lot of time the audio seems to continue but the picture doesn’t. Then when the commercial finally ends the audio and pic are way out of sync.
Miki had a trick to use on tivimate to help solve someone’s buffering issue, but I used it for this purpose, and it worked…somewhat.
When you are viewing in full screen click the OK button and this will display the controls for playing. Then click left to the “LIVE” icon and click on it. This seems to bring back everything into0 sync. Doesn’t work all the time but does sometimes.

I presume you mean press the ok button the remote.
If so, when i press that, there is no " live" presented anywhere on my screen. Just the icons in the top right hand corner of my screen.
@Powerfader No worries. Yes, i have those controls, but its a bit of a pain having to stop the episode and advance or delay the subtitle. Some apps have a button that appears on screen during play to adjust as you are watching it.
Anyway, i will just live with it for those series that have the issue.
If that doesn’t work there is something else you can “experiment” with. In “settings” scroll down to “cache size” and click it. Now try say the smallest one at 2GB. See if that helps keep them in sync. Also if you have VLC installed it has a subtitles sync option and you can use it to play back your vids. Select a movie, then on the top right you will see the three little joined circles, click that and choose play with vlc. Then use the sync settings in there. I think it’s “tools”>“Track synchronization”. A bit of work but an option.
