There is a way to turn on embedded subtitles when you start a vid. On the top bar, once you’ve chosen a source and it begins to play, click on what looks like a mini keyboard just left of the hambuger on the top right, and you can turn on embedded there. Also in the home window of Stremio you can chose the Default subtitles language. Make sure you have added the subtitle addon in the addons module. Go to addons and on the top right click on “community” and select “Official” and scroll down to install open subtitles. If for some reason it’s missing>

That’s all I know about subtitles in Stremio.

@BigDave . Thanks Every link i use requires me to switch the subtitles on. So, i will just get used to it.

@Miki .Very many thanks. All language setting correct. Seems that some links are automatic and some are not.
And subtitles is installed correctly under community add ons.
I have tried built in player and also my mx player pro. Seems thst mx player now plays them automatically. So one happy viewer.
