hi i am john12 i have a android sony tv and i downloaded stremio on it and created a password but when i want to watch a tv show or movie i don’t get the add-on i installed so i can watch the movie or tv show can some one please help me,i tryed in stalling silk downloader but it want work please help.

Hi. Welcome to the platform.
I don’t know what you mean about android sony tv. Maybe you mean Android device connected to Sony TV. More information will be helpful, otherwise TP manual with more explanation.
Here are the steps from TP manual explained how to install Stremio. VPN is required, and Real Debrid is recommended. If you have any questions pls post them we will be glad to help.

One of the best addons you can install is TORRENTIO, it will pull many free streams but you can also integrate Real Debrid in it. Now it’s recommended to use a computer if you want RD. If you copy the following link into the search in your stremio addon module, and then enter it, you will get the full json catalogue with the TORRENTIO addon in there. Choose and enable every movie/TV Series you can find in the addon list to pull the most sources.

Stemio sounds like a mini KODI?

It’s similar in that it ‘scrapes’ working streams from cached torrents.
The interface is much simpler than using a Kodi addon or build; however, its embedded media player is not near as good as Kodi’s IMO.
But you don’t need to use the embedded player. You can choose any external player you want. I use MX Pro.

It is similar but much safer as addons are never loaded onto or into your device thus ensuring that you cannot be negatively impacted by malicious code.

Are you sure you can download and install Stremio (or any other “sideloaded” apps) on your TV? Is it an Amazon TV, Roku TV?

True, Miki…but I prefer the Kodi player over MX.
I’ve gotten used to the Stremio player anyway, but Kodi has a lot more options which turn out to be handy in some cases.
I’m glad your kodi experience has been much better than mine. For me kodi has been and continues to be, unreliable, and I prefer things like apps that I know will work.

I agree with Miki here. Kodi has its place thats understood. Lots of people work very hard to keep it relevant but to me kodi has always been a beta app. I think where people draw a line in kodi vs stremio or even syncler is live content. And if kodi is on its game the live part is its main draw. Stremio on the other hand is (to me) more of a movie and series powerhouse. With tract and now real debrid and cloud based and carried across platforms with no need to set it up for each instance other than basic credentials…Stremio is #1 in operability (IMHO)

@Miki Just installed Stremio and learning how to use it. I installed your link add on, added all the movie add ons i could find, except India ,Brazil and foreign movies.
Extremely impressed with Stremio so far!
So, here is my question, when i select a movie from my Trakt collection, i receive some links. But, there is always a green caption to instruct me to inststall add ons.
Is this normal and can you advise please.
My next question is; is there any method to get my trakt movie/ tv collection into alphabetical order?

That warning usually only comes up when you have very few sources found. If you have good sources you can certainly ignore it. I’m sorry I don’t use trakt and haven’t taken the time to read up on it’s new integration into Stremio. As every series and movie I watch is in Stremio and everything I watch will show a checkmark on the episodes I’ve watched I’ve never found it useful. I’ll see if I can find more info about Trakt in Stremio. Sorry.

I appreciate all your advice on many subjects on this forum. I simply don’t know very much about stremio and if or where i can add any more add ons to improve receiving more links.
But, so far, i am impressed with Stremio.
I have noticed that when exiting the app, my notification bar shows Stremio running in the background. The only way to stop that seems to force stop the app or sign out.
It’s not a big deal, my device has plenty of Ram and storage.
Hey Dak, have you added Torrentio? That with RD integrated will give you a ton of sources to choose from.

@Miki Yep…i added it and all debrid too. I followedTroy set up instructions. Which advised delete data to set up all debrid and then reinstall torrentio etc.
Can you advise how i check whether Torrentio is installed correctly?
Try clicking on a movie and see how many torrentio sources you have. Just scroll down. Premium sources like RD are usually listed at the bottom. I just clicked a popular movie and found 52 torrentio sources listed
Strange: it shows TPB+ with 4 links 1 x netflix and then " install add ons" . But no All Debrid.
Do you have torrentio links? Are you sure you added all movie and series addons? If you cleared Data you will have cleared all addons you had chosen.
Only those that i previously mentioned snd now some Orion links too.
