I see an upgrade option for addons in my Stremio app. Is it ok to upgrade and exactly what does it upgrade? Thanks

I tried to install Stremio through the TP code in Downloader and received this error, “An unknown error has occurred. Check your URL and connection.” I had to download through the play store.
@Miki Thanks for helping. I got a bare bones clean set up with Duck and Torbox on 1 TV and the good ol’ BOOTSTRAPPER on the other. I’m gonna take the Duck for a swim and see how it goes. Happy Weekend.

I installed launchmanager and AT4K launcher on my android tv with 3gb ram. Now Stremio runs much more smoothly.No more buffering or freezing anymore.
Try it, every app runs better.I do not use a debrid service,(anymore) and all streams run fine.But now also all 4K movies in Kodi
Fell for the last Stremio upgrade which failed miserable. It took a couple days trying downgrade before it was functional again. I won’t do that again. If things are working fine I will not mess with it…

I am stuck on a cruise ship for two weeks. Is there anyway to get my Stremio account to work on my iPad or iPhone???
As long as you have internet, you can use Stremio anywhere in the world, once you have it installed and logged in. Your settings are kept in the cloud, however I would certainly be sure to also use a VPN before connecting to, or using, your Stremio.

I tried to install Soo Soo Sootio using Troy’s Soo Soo Sootio post but I kept getting a “fetch” error when trying to install it to Stremio. After several additional attempts, I gave up and decided that Sootio was for losers anyway 
Got an urge to play fetch with the dog and crank some Phil Collins.
I’ll try again some other day.
Tried again, no dice. Giving up. My Stremio works really well these days so giving up before I destroy something is always a sound strategy. See you all.
I have been using stremio for a long time. This year I have noticed that it will sometimes skip ahead. Sometimes it buffers before skipping but sometimes not.
I have upgraded to the latest version but still having the issue.
Last night I was watching FBI and it skipped around 30 minutes ahead without even a glitch. I noticed things didnt make any sense so paused it and noticed after watching for like 5 minutes it was at the 35 minute mark. Went back to 5 minute mark and watched the rest without issue.
Sometimes it skips a few minutes sometimes many minutes. Who know how much of shows I have missed overall.
Anyone know a fix for this? Its not my remote as I never see any progress bar moving.
I doubt it’s stremio, I suspect it’s your sources. Have you tried say TorBox or Premiumize?
Miki, I have the latest Stremio version. Noticed just recently that it is not always marking shows as “Watched” and when finished playing an episode. It also started playing an episode we have already viewed and marked as watched. We have started manually selecting the episodes to view as the auto select has not been reliable.
I have never used the Auto select or auto play next episode personally. I prefer to choose my own sources from the scrapes I get. Especially when having multiple addons and some find 4K and HEVC 265 as well as HDR, HDR 10 and 10+ where others won’t and ya can never count on just one addon to consistently find the best.
I’ve had to roll back stremio since the update early February because it plays movies and series just fine. But live tv plays for 15 seconds and then the screen goes black but there is still sound. A few weeks ago I updated it to the newest release to see if that had fixed my issue but it still does it.
Stremio like Kodi, does not do live TV well. Better to get an IPTV sub for live TV. If trying live TV in Stremio try using an external player like Just Video Player.
