Does anyone have an alternative to Firestick for Canada? I tried the Onn box but it won’t work properly outside of the U.S. I know I should use a VPN but I prefer not to as it throttles down the speed too much.
I live in Canada. If you go to Walmart, they do sell them now. I’ve seen the onn 4k pro there. And I have one from the USA and they do work fine, As long as you set them up right.

You could likely get an Onn from Canadian walmart though it’s pricer. The Google streamer is also a super solid choice for your area.
To set up an American onn box in Canada, you have to do a WIFI hotspot off a computer using a VPN set to the USA
I think I almost wrote the book in detail and giving links to exactly how you set up your USA onn box in Canada. It works perfectly. Please search this forum. Once you find it, you will be good to go and after it’s registered, it’s your choice to use a VPN or not but personally, i would never stream anything without one. True, you can buy them in Canada now as well. I don’t know how they differ other than price and clearly the geolocation not being a problem. Having said that, if you have them from the USA like I do, you get the benefit of all the USA stations and international ones via Google that you can’t even get if your VPN is not set to the USA. The home screen dymanically changes based on your location and you lose the LIVE portion of the menu. Please don’t give up, it all works perfectly. Cheers.
