No Playable Sources - Multiple Add-ons - Real-Debrid Not Caching - Kodi 21.1

Hi everyone,
I’m at my wit’s end! I’ve been trying to fix a “No Playable Sources” issue for the past 4 hours and multiple attempts prior today, and nothing seems to work. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but I’m still unable to play any movies or TV shows.
Here’s the situation:

  • Multiple Add-ons Affected: Both Seren and The Crew are showing “No Playable Sources.”
  • Real-Debrid Not Caching: I can see sources being found, but Real-Debrid is not caching any of them.
  • Kodi Reinstalled: I’ve completely uninstalled and reinstalled Kodi 21.1 multiple times.
  • Add-ons Reinstalled: I’ve reinstalled Seren and The Crew (latest versions).
  • Real-Debrid Active: My Real-Debrid account is active and connected.
  • Network Good: My network connection and speed are good.
  • No Errors in Log: There are no relevant error messages in the Kodi log file.
    My Setup:
  • Kodi 21.1
  • Seren, latest
  • The Crew, latest
  • Amazon FireStick TV
    Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure the scrapers are up to date and configured correctly also.

RD isn’t caching torrents anymore. So uncheck the “use cached torrents only” or whatever it is in Kodi.

After trying what were advised without any success, I installed add-on Umbrella. Its working for now

I couldn’t get Seren to play anything, I found this fix and now it works! The install seemed stuck at 77% and finally it completed so be patient. Good luck.

## Extra: Unofficial fix for Real Debrid and All-Debrid

This update is made by community users and there is already a pull request on GitHub to integrate the changes in the official version of Seren. In the meantime, if you want to install this patch, follow these steps.

Seren must be already installed on your device before applying this patch.

  1. Go to Settings → File Manager → Add Source.
  2. Add the URL https://bbviking.github.io/ on the top box, and enter the name bbviking on the bottom one. Press OK to continue.
  3. Go back to the Setting menu and this time select Add-ons.
  4. Press Install from zip file.
  5. Select bbviking.
  6. Press on plugin.video.seren.3.0.62.zip to install the update.

The installation process is slow, it takes about 5 minutes to complete. Please be patient. You’ll see a notification when the installation is done.

Alternatively, you can download the file directly to your device for a faster installation.

Tried 2 times and after several minutes both times it failed.

After trying to do this now nothing is working. Gonna try my other firestick to see if it’s working.

Now Umbrella stopped working too. I think it’s a bigger issue on governments’ level :person_shrugging:t2: It’s getting harder and harder to watch anything without spending all your money on streaming services

Hi same thing happened with us and Seren, tho do you get a “cache assist”? Also uninstalled/re-installed…not better. Maybe it’s now ng with.19.4. If it’s no providers, do the package. May also be due to the hit RD took.Sorry, still new at this.

If you are referring to Kodi 19.4 you should really update to the latest version because some addons will not work with older versions of Kodi.

New member here.

Struggling with Seren.

Have RD up to date. Trakt account linked.

Mostly use Fen Lite with no issue

When I search for a film or series on Seren it searches and shows the number of links on the left but zero (in blue) under ‘playable sources’.

Got latest version of apk scraper installed.

I’ve read over the site looking for tips to get to the bottom of the issue but can’t figure it out! I like the list features on Seren for older films and so on.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply-I’ve been limited in replying as am a new member.

I think it’s the latest version-I updated the nixgate repo as per a post on here. I only recently did a complete reinstall and only have few add ons installed.

Any pointers welcome.
