Recording with tivimate iptv

You can’t open with VLC or MX Pro?

Custom recording has nothing to do with it. That’s all I use…

Both VLC and MX Pro will open but they do not play satisfactorily. IPTV Smarter/s Pro works the best for me.

Can you use the FF/RW with VLC and MX Pro? If so, then I would look for an alternative you do like as the default player.

If push comes shove, you can try using the Sparkle TV player instead of Tivimate. Sparkle is better at recording than Tivimate and the developer is very active in improving the app.

I have both Tivimate and Sparkle and have been using Sparkle more lately. It isn’t quite as good as Tivimate right now, but it is close and getting better.

When I have that problem with TV mate, I use an external player MX pro. It’s a little tricky but you can fast forward stop and reverse. When you get to the point where the problem is with the recording it will either freeze or twice the speed you can jump over it and then a play again. It’s a problem with TVivimate I wish they would fix it.

When I use VLC or MX pro I cannot FF/RW. When I first started using Sparkle TV I thought it was great. It also has its problems when recording. When using the default player in Tivimate my success rate is about 90%. For the 10% recordings with a problem IPTV Smarter’s Pro at least will play from front to back but without FF/RW. I can cut the commercial time in half by using the 2X speed. My Internet service is one gig using my Nvidia Shield.

I noticed that any bleep in the program from buffering or whatever will upset the recording and it won’t work. Seen it many times.

You need to use the Custom Recording for it to work correctly.

You’re correct. Any hiccup in the stream will cause Tivimate to quit recording.

Custom recording doesn’t change any thing with the issue of TV make quit recording

I have 1 connection but I record 3 or more channels at the same time. No issues. The trick is while recording you need to get out of tivimate. Goto mx and watch your recording while it is being recorded there, not in tivimate.
I have a 512 gb scandisk disk drive 4k fastest speed. It could be your storage is too slow for your recordings.
Also goto tivimate settings, playlists, select your playlist, Xtreme codes parameters, output format and change the recording format to HLS instead of the default. HLS is faster, think less spooling, and better quality.
Good luck,
