It appears that the following fixed this problem.
I clear the CACHE out in Downloader and FORCE CLOSE too if it gives me trouble. It seems to help.
Googleygoo has managed to render it totally useless. Blocking everything, downloader codes, sites I know to work unless those clowns aren’t aware of them as some will pull up. Of course on my AM9 Pro when I set that up I had to connect to my phone & use files app to install downloader in the box as they were blocking any use of chrome unless you gave them your login information & is the only way to access internet websites until you gain access to downloading other APK’s. Man they are getting on my nerves!!! Using the duck or Priv*** Wa** I could pull the toolbox up just fine internet site wise. All this tells me those crooks are up to NO GOOD!!! I am going to try to use a very old downloader version to see if that will fly. I already deleted the 2.0.2 googleygoo version & tried the firestick 2.0.2 version without any luck. I also tried a 1.5.1 version that would not work either. Other sites that I am aware of are also being blocked. If any of you think that Googleygoo isn’t going to be a problem going forward I have some very sad news for you - YOUR WRONG!
I’m using multiple android boxes and don’t have your problems on any of them. Have you tried disconnecting VPN to see if that might be the issue?
It was working perfectly fine without issues, then all of a sudden googleygoo gets their fingers in to it to foul it up. Trust me I know it is them! Let me be clear - I MADE NO CHANGES! If you don’t bow to their control they can & will screw with you - THIS IS PROVEN! As you can clearly see by the photos above in this thread, I got the same thing! BEWARE people, they are NO good!
Ok folks, I found a fix for this, at least if you have Surfshark. What is truly going on here is googleygoo is blocking use of downloader unless you turn off your VPN. Of course screw them as I will never do this giving them my true IP address not even for a second! I have my Cudy AX3000 locked on 24/7 to Surfshark & will never turn it off. I have been messing with this off and on all day. I am double VPN’D now using the Surfshark app connection to NYC static IP. Downloader is now working fine using a static IP with Surfshark app. I now can easily see what those crooks are pulling! To those who only have the app I do believe this should work for you to get downloader working ok by using the Static IP.
Hello, this isn’t Google. There are all kinds of apps and websites that now block VPNs. It’s not hard for them to do. The trick is finding a VPN server that hasn’t been blocked and I cover that in the following guide with videos.
@TROYPOINT Please allow me to go in to this issue a little better to give you a better understanding of what is going on here. If you recall, you reported on this that DL’s developer when he released 2.0 it has it’s own android web browser which got them all bent out of shape. Now I forget what their exact excuse was, but because of this not only did we have a full page app with DL but there were NO ads! This is what got them ticked off. He then caved to their bidding to introduce a newer version with their browser back in it. I loved that it had no ads as they are so freaking intrusive, but this was costing them $$$ so hopefully this opens some eyes now to this issue. Combine this with the absolute fact that we all have used this app for multiple years without any VPN issues whatsoever, & I have been on countless locations in & outside of the country without the slightest hiccup at all & I can connect the dots here very easily. You see, in order for you to catch them in many of these wrongful things you first have to block or should I say try to block them on everything they do. Paying attention to events & when they occur also tells a story. If you allow them in the front door logging in to them they have you controlled already to watch what your doing so these issues often don’t happen nearly as much nor as bad. Awhile back somebody on here got a message that Ap* Mir*** was only one time use then you had to pay a subscription for it that was logged in to them is another great example. I have used that for no charge for many years. Yesterday I decided that I had better look for more AP* file apps for download availability & using the F-D app I tried to download 4 different ones, only to be blocked before halfway through dumping me back to the page I was on before starting the download on every one of them. I then used a different similar type app & was able to get all 4 of these without issue, so they have this particular app jammed up. I even tried again this morning double VPN’ing through in and outside the country to many locations with no luck at all to pull any file. I have caught permissions being turned back on that I have turned off, notifications too, & seen that even though I have disabled google apps it will have force stop above where it says disabled. How could this happen if it’s truly disabled? I designed a box for a friend that has 11 in it, is a certified box & now he can’t download apps from most all places, even from the toolbox using DL getting a pop up message that it needs the SD card! WHAT??? Here he was trying to download an app directly from the internet, but gets this nonsense message blocking it. If you do disable notifications for the Surfshark app with all of their apps disabled it will pop up messages on top right of main home screen saying it won’t work unless you enable their services which is an absolute lie. Take a box like my AM9/AM9 Pro I have here & block all of their stuff & watch what happens. You WILL see.
Oddly enough I have and use the Downloader on a regular basis. Mostly to download Android apps that others are using so I can provide experienced advice. Not once have I ever turned off my VPN, and I do mean NEVER, and not once have I ever failed to have an app install, including doing testing like uninstalling and reinstalling the Downloader V2 to see if I could replicate the issues you have described. Absolutely no luck in that department. Not once ever have I been kicked out of any download/install or has it failed. This on my Buzz P6L using Nord VPN with their own Protocol Nordlynx and using a custom DNS. So not sure how to advise you. I have no issue with Google. I have the play protect disabled along with their scanning. I have 6 google accounts from various locations throughout the world. I use DuckDuckGo, but have also used the new Downloader V2 browser, again without any issues. I have an active full Malwarebytes. I have 3 debrid services. I do not use an ad blocker or anything like Projectivy as I am not on my home screen for any longer than 1 minute as my system boots up every morning. I never see any ads or suggestions on my home screen and any ads I see are in my IPTV, and they don’t bother me, been seeing them for about 65 yrs now.
Thanks for your thoughts on this @Miki & believe me I am so happy they aren’t messing with you. I think they get us tagged somehow, then all of “you know what” breaks loose. I am not trying to upset anyone or make any kind of waves on this, just tell the truth, & that is how I got my name here - Informant. We are all here to help & inform each other about any & everything related to what we do here, & present all we know factually to help others be informed. I know a person on here that has your same Buzz P6L, & had it logged in to them, is in Canada like you & they couldn’t stop screwing with his box. He then bought an AM9 like I have here & I helped him get things set up on it, & he also bought the same Cudy AX3000 WIFI 6 router I have with it being so easy to set up with a VPN in it. That brings to mind if anyone is looking for a great device that is very easy to install Wireguard file pairs from Surfshark in to it. If somebody gets one of these please reach out if you need help. He done very well with his with a bit of my help to get it up and running. When I seen the snapshot that @Al517 put up that is perfectly identical to what I got, then they are messing with them also. That is exactly how my screen looked. As stated using Surfshark with Static IP does get around the problem. I can’t speak for other VPN company setups at all as I don’t have or have had any other VPN service. Thinking back now I wish I could get my hands on the APK file of the original 2.0 that has the independent Android browser. That APK file would now be a very good treasure indeed!
Trust me Google is not screwing with my box and I doubt they are screwing with anyone’s. If even one person, like myself, has a P6L and is using it without any issues or interference from outside sources this is a direct verification that any problems have absolutely nothing to do with Google but with the individuals P6L setup. I understand that your name is Informant but what you are trying to inform others about is only on your end and from your personal experience, certainly not from mine or others, and does not reflect on my experience even remotely. But this thread is wandering way off topic so I’m leaving it alone. I get you don’t like Google, but IMHO better the devil ya know than the one you don’t.
Have a happy Easter weekend, hopefully buffer free.
Man you really got it out for Google? I love Google. Been using their search engine and Gmail for decades now ZERO issues. And love my ONN Box. also never had any issues with Downloader.
