POV Kodi Addon on Firestick/Android

Question. I saw Troy’s NEW VIDEO (August 6, 2025) on POV. Since it’s a Fen Fork, if I have Fen Lite AM already installed, does it make NO SENSE to have POV too since it will pull exactly the same sources? I really like Fen Lite AM.

Both addons are very similar clones.

While they both have similar scrapers, POV actually has slightly different scraper sources that may provide better material opportunity.

FenLightAM relies on external scraper sources that I don’t think he maintains.

POV developer is much more hands on with his addon and scraper updates overall. He doesn’t rely on external scrapers that rarely are updated.

My suggestion is to use whatever addon you are more comfortable with. In the end, you’ll be hard to find drastic differences between two clones. I wouldn’t see a point in keeping both, just pick the one you like best.

I have POV, FenLAM and Umbrella installed but my widgets are setup using POV. I rarely have to use the any of the others but I have them just in case and I do have the scrapers configured slightly differently.

Thank you for that. I did set up POV and I do like it.

I thought the whole reason that we upgraded from Fen Lite to the AM version is because the AM version was going to stay updated? I read that on telegram.

I do get regular updates on the Fen L AM add-on and perhaps the scrapers update with the add-on?

An interesting sidenote, I’m watching this obscure BBC show called “OUR ZOO”. On the third episode, several of my KODI add ons could not find any links nor could Stremio but POV did and it worked perfectly. POV :+1:t2:.

FenLAM has had a recent updates that shows crowd sourced cache for RD and AD the same as POV does.

The Umbrella dev has yet to implement that feature.

Folks constantly tout Umbrella and I have it but rarely use it. I’m focused on FenL AM, POV and a bit of Seren. I think you need multiple different add ons to find links when 1 add on might not find any. I have Homelander too but rarely use it. Thanks for your post,

@Avid08 @GraceWilson Okay I know about Fen and Fenlite. Is there a 3rd called FenLAM that you have been discussing? Would like to install it but can’t find it

Good morning @MarkxG hope you’re doing well. I think it refers to the Fen Lite AM.

Addons do have slightly different features and I suppose what fits the users needs.

I mainly use POV because it has the feature next episode which shows the next episode to watch on all the tv shows I am currently watching.

FenLAM has next episode but also shows the episode to shows in my watchlist that I haven’t started watching yet. So I prefer how it works in POV.

Umbrella doesn’t have that feature but does have Progress shows which does show you shows you are currently watching.

I just refer to Fen light am as FenLAM. AM refers to the dev who is called anonymous mouse.

They have taken over the project of Fen light from Tikipeter but he does give AM guidance if needed.

In POV settings, in sources, there are 11 total. I have 4 on and 7 off. The on toggles are Pirate Bay, Torrentino, Comet and Media Fusion. What do you have toggled on? Thank you.

Since I already had Fen Lite it was very easy to update to Fen L AM following the video. Didn’t even have to Reauthorize RD or Trakt Looks like a very solid Addon.

Mark, that’s great info, thx! I’ve been a solid fan of Fen for as long as can remember. But it is really appearing that it’s days are actually coming to an end. I’ve got POV and Umbrella (which I’m just not a fan of) so adding FenLAM to the roster will round things out for me.

In sources I use these. I don’t watch anime so I don’t enable any of the anime indexers.

In My Services I use RD+ that shows you crowd sourced cache for those indexers if you are using Real Debrid or All Debrid if not then ignore.

Check out Avid’s POV suggestions to get max value out of it. I’ve been trying to tweak POV to get it perfect. I really like it.

Thank you. I’ll add aiostreams as a source.

I have Premiumize as my only debrid service so I assume that’s not a dropdown option in the “debrid +” menus you have in the screenshot above.

I really like POV and appreciate your expertise. POV does subtitles very well too which I use every time they’re available.

Yes if you don’t use RD or AD then just ignore my second screenshot.

Don’t forget to click ok when altering settings to apply them.

@Avid08 Thanks so much for posting your screenshots for POV settings. Sometimes it’s not easy to decide which ones to use and this helped me a lot :+1::raising_hands::double_exclamation_mark:

The developer of the addon recently updated and made changes to the debrid+ sources.

There is no longer a section to enable these debrid+ sources. Instead, just enable the sources you want as you normally would in the settings menu.

The addon now provides results that are either “cached” or “unchecked” based on your enabled sources.

If the Real Debrid/Alldebrid source is tagged as “cached” then it was checked against a crowd sourced cache, so their is a high chance it is cached. If it is “unchecked” then it was not found in the crowd source cache.

Either way when the addon attempts to play a Real Debrid/Alldebrid source it will wait a bit and test whether the added source is completely downloaded and if not will skip to the next until it finds one complete.
