Do you know how to get out of the basic mode and back to the original without having to reset the Onn box?
You can go to settings and click āadd accountā or āset up google tvā. Either one will bring you out of basic mode without resetting the device. As long as your developer options and USB debugging settings are still enabled

Youāll need to sign back in to google again, however it wonāt delete any apps you added.

Whats the hotel trick? I usually have to connect to my phone hotspot in hotel.
Turn the date and time setting on the box to manual. Thatās it. Just one setting change.

just sign out on that onn box on your google account after you finish setting it up for him lol or you can set it up using his google account than he can download anything he wants too lol

Not everyone has a google account or wants one. Especially people who have all apple products.

Did you get a account installed? Found out you have to add a account from home page using the account button at the top left.

By basic mode, do you mean āapps onlyā mode? If so, itās just a toggle switch in Settings. Under Accounts, I believe.
2 different things,ā¦āapps onlyā you still are signed into a google account ,ā¦ ābasic modeā no google account,ā¦which means no google store and you canāt rearrange apps on home screen.
But can you install apps?
If so, can you install google app store?
