My remote volume function longer works.
I have sound on all channels, but cannot increase or decrease volume.
Mute also does not work. I have paired the remote several times, but that did not fix the issue.
All other functions of remote seem to be working, just not the volume function.
Your suggestions are appreciated.

Is there a way to reset remote to operate TV without doing a factory reset to streaming unit?
Go into your settings and select onn remote pair
You should be able to change which device your volume works on.

I had too many issues with Onn so now it sits on the closet shelf.
My Onn Goggle 4k Tv remote is malfunctioning…One press on a button will cause the remote to be flickering up and down making it difficult to select a function or channel.
The remote light changes to permanent red for about a minute and back to green.
This is really frustrating and I’ve had to use the Tv remote to continue the process.
Please any solution? Thank you
A few weeks after I bought my ONN box, the remote started to act up. It would lose connection frequently, or some buttons wouldn’t work. Even though the original batteries were at 90% capacity, I swapped them out for Duracells. Problems vanished and the remote has functioned flawlessly for over a year. So, you may want to try fresh batteries if you haven’t already done so.
I have replaced the batteries and no significant improvement… The remote operates like it has a mind if its own and i have no clue on what to do to fix the issue
Can you follow the instructions farther up in this thread and forget your remote and repair it?
Hello, I have a problem with programming my Onn streaming box remote with my tv to control volume and power, the remote used to work properly before I applied the latest remote update Version V1.99 after the update the remote stopped working for the tv, the tv was still showing in the set up remote buttons menu, so I went ahead and deleted the tv from the menu and tried to program it again but every time I tried that it keeps giving the message " Use Original Remote To Set This Up", after that the Tv brand shows up in the menu but I cant choose the remote to control the tv volume and power because the options are grayed out and cant be selected, I tried to reprogram the remote with my device but nothing works and I cant find a solution anywhere that resembles my problem, If this cant be fixed with the new remote update version is there a way to revert back to the old firmware version to make it work again?
I sure don`t like to reset my device to solve this issue.

I would also like to add that my microphone stopped working and I can`t do any kind of voice search and the remote is consuming the batteries in just a few days, all of the problems with the remote started when I updated the remote firmware.
I think someone pointed out that if you put the device into “apps only” mode that disables the mic.
