I use bluetooth earbuds and headphones with my ONN 4K and FireTV Cube and they work fine. I’ve not set up bluetooth speakers though.
That’s a me to, anyone know what I can do with these old Mecool streamers. I have never been able to link them with Google for remote assignments, I was told a new OS from Mecool was coming that was two years ago, my new 4K ONN pro and plus are now my best and fastest streamers yet.

Hey Wizzard, unfortunately your information is incorrect correct. I had mentioned that I purchased 3 x ONN 4K Plus boxes in the USA. This model is not available in Canada.
These three models are on the shelf in Canada. Feel free to check Walmart.ca Please note for a long time you could also get on from Amazon but they were different and not what I bought in the USA. The pro is the clear way to go for all the obvious reasons.

My main TV is a wall mount with wires hidden by snaking them between studs. If I read the charts correctly, I can use the power cord for my old fireTV stick to an Onn Plus but not an Onn Pro. In some cases, that would be a good reason to go with the Plus rather than the Pro.
That won’t work as plug and play.
The Firestick’s power uses a mini USB end while the ONN Plus uses a C USB end. I don’t know if the power requirements are similar either.
You’re right! Sorry, I though I saw that the Onn Plus used a micro USB plug. I know I could buy an adapter to change the USB C end to a USM mini for about $5. I’m pretty sure both power adapters out put 6 V. It’s a real pain to change any input to my TV without removing the set from the wall, and that, in itself is a hassle!
Just note that the firestick cable terminates in a micro-USB, not a mini-USB (different plug altogether). So you’d need a micro-USB to USB-C adapter.

Brain fart on my end.
On a similar matter, it’s not just if the voltage matches. It’s whether the wall brick can supply the required current.
4k and plus are 5v, pro is 12v

I have a brand new onn 4k pro still in box. Do you think I should set it up and trash the firestick? I know you said you don’t like firesticks.

Ok I just purchased a 4k plus yesterday and am following along with this tutorial. Everything is going fine until I get to the Google play store. Downloader pops up just fine download no problem. Project ivy and the browse here apps however just take me to you tube videos, no apps. The only way I can get project ivy is through the downloader app. Not sure what I did incorrectly but any help would be appreciated
You can Projectivy from the Play store, but Launcher manager if it is still needed for OS14 would come from the Toolbox I believe.
