i can get into the reset menu but it will not allow me to select any option.
I think I need a new box.

Hi folks. I SEARCHED for this problem and just COULDN’T find ANYTHING for Android TV, so I hope you won’t be upset with me posting here …

Need some help PLEASE!
I’m using my onn 4k pro android tv box and today while trying to open my YouTube it just locks on the open page and has a circle that just loops around under the YouTube Sign-in page like buffering circles. It won’t load anything for me. I tried resetting the modem & router as well as unplugging my onn 4k pro box but still get same problem. Maybe someone knows what to do to help fix this problem. Maybe a code for downloader or something to reinstall or update?

Also, I CAN’T open my GOOGLE PLAY STORE. It says I have to sign-in again but nothing happens to allow me to do so. I keep trying to select Sign-in but I get NO RESPONSE as screen just sits there frozen with constant looping circle on the sign in page! Like a buffering circle. So, I CAN’T UPDATE ANY applications needed to be updated by Play Store!

ANY HELP Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! PLEASE :folded_hands:t3:

Turn off your VPN?
Clear system cache.

Thanks @Nonya_Biz for your suggestions. I did turn off VPN and cleared system cache using TechdoctorUK cache cleaner. Unfortunately didn’t work. Still not able to sign into Playstore or YouTube on the 4k pro android box :frowning:

@Patachou…have you tried signing into your account from the Onn 4K Pro settings, maybe delete the account, restart the box, sign in again, then try YT or the play store…

@itzme No, I can’t delete the YouTube from settings on the onn 4k pro box. It only allows to uninstall updates and no way to reinstall back. Play store won’t allow to sign in at all :frowning:

With your vpn on connect to a U.S. server. YT will not work out of country. Just a hunch.

Advice is to remove your google account if signing into the account from the settings section fails.

To sign out of your Google account on an ONN Pro device (which is an Android TV), you need to go to the Settings app, then navigate to Google, and then select “Sign out” or “Remove account” depending on the specific settings menu.

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  1. Open the Settings app: On your ONN Pro remote, press the “Settings” button (usually a gear icon).
  • Navigate to Google: Find and select “Google” in the settings menu.
  • Sign out or Remove account: Look for options like “Sign out” or “Remove account” within the Google settings.
  • Follow the prompts: If signing out, you might be prompted to confirm your decision. If removing the account, you may need to enter your Google account password.

Hi, I am also having a problem with the onn 4K box, when I try to use the toolbox to load apps, the onn 4k box is not recognised, it identified the correct IP address but does not connect. This is a new box and the permissions are different to those shown on the videos, could it be they have updated security to stop people loading their own preferred apps? has anyone else experienced this?

WoW.
I made an inquiry and the topic went way off subject.
OUCH.

@MikeN thank you for your advise. I haven’t been able to follow your instructions as of yet since I took a terrible fall and am hurt really badly… broken right hand, ribs, and since I fell flat on my face I also lost most of my teeth besides other contusions…
I just wanted to let you know why I haven’t responded back to you. I will try to get to fix my onn 4k pro per your advice.

ok, so where else can I get help on my problem? There does not appear to be a troubleshooting category.
I seen a few different issues raised and discussed, never realised everyone had to focus on a single issue.

I hope you are going to be well. Pretty scary stuff. Please take care of yourself and the insiders will pray for your speedy recovery. :hugs:
