Boot menu does not allow me to change options.
There shouldnât be a boot menu. What the person who replied means is that after you reboot with the reset button pressed it should bring you to a screen where you release the reset and then quickly press the button to change the options displayed. Press quickly once for option 1, then quickly press again for option 2 and so on. This is what is meant by scrolling through the options, then once the option you want is displayed hold the reset button down until the option you chose begins.

What if you do boot reset? Will you lose your data?
What was being discussed - factory reset, This will reset the box removing all your setting, data etc.
The box will then start as new

Yes I I got it thanks for your quick response My question was really when you do that factory reset does it go back to Android 11 or does it go to the Android 14 that I uploaded updated? But I figured out my problem I was lucky to back up my add-ons and files on Kodi I deleted it and I was lucky to have the backup cuz sometimes it doesnât work with the respiratory thatâs in Kodi I still have to do major settings and authorizations but it took the permissions button and it allowed it so I donât know if the files were just corrupt anyway thank you but if you do know the answer to the reset question if you would go back to the original factory Android which was 11 I believe or 12 or does it refactor reset to Android 14 that was my question thank you

No, a factory reset on an Onn 4K device will not remove Android 14. While a factory reset will wipe all user data, apps, and settings, it does not uninstall or revert the installed operating system (Android 14 in this case). The device will still run the latest Android version after a factory reset

Thank you very much Mickey I know my voice to text doesnât work sometimes but I was confused that nobody can understand what I was trying to get to but you answered the question for me sir Youâre a big help for what itâs worth I try to help other people also cuz I remember when I first came to the site 5 years ago I know if itâs that long very informative so I try to pass it on as you do all everyday I donât know if you saw my other threads I fixed the problem I didnât have to factory reset I was lucky to have backed up to Codyâs and Android 14 o n n 4K box they do work mine must have been corrupt because I uninstalled it and reinstalled it restored add-ons to the backup add-on in the Kodi respiratory problem solved it wasnât Android 14 the problem I must have some corrupt files All right now Iâm rambling thank you very much Miki

One more thing anybody that is going to update the ONN 4K box Make sure you back up your files in Kodi for some reason Kodi 19 is not having a problem you will save you a lot of time and problems

Is there a reason you are using KODI 19 and havenât updated to 21.2? I think that may have been your issue in the first place. What addons are you using that still run on 19? I didnât realize there were any as most of the Devâs have optimized their addons for 21

Kodi 19 actually was the only one that was opening up The box was accepting the permissions it was 21 fork and original 21 that wasnât accepting permissions and manage files or permissions on the apps also there are a few respiratories that only work with the first python which is probably 19 even though theyâre also a lot of respiratories that canât use have to use the third python 21 as you know I have to tell you so I like a wide range of options and in this case I still was able to use the box cuz I did have 19 does anything Iâve noticed in this hobby sometimes the old stuff works better like I have a fire stick second generation that I speed it up and it works awesome so heâs good to go back to the old technology sometimes
