Nvidia won’t end Shield TV updates, new hardware could happen

TXRon, thank you so much for posting this. I still consider my Shield Pro as my number one. It’s never let me down. I’m not certain that I would be a customer for a newer, latest and greatest Shield if one was released as mine still rocks my boat. BUT, I would like to be tempted.

I hear ya. I find it interesting that the tecs at nvidea originally made the streamer for themselves and later the decision was made to sell it to customers. Just that fact alone explains why it has been so dependable. They use what they make and understand the needs/wants of the streamers.

Hard to believe they focus much effort on the Shield. I’ll bet the revenue Nvidia gets from the Shield is less than 1/10th of 1% of total revenues. They are 100% focused on Chips for AI and Datacenters. Wouldn’t be surprised if their Exec Team doesn’t even know about the Shield

Hi Ron. I seem to recall you using other streamers that you liked a lot. How do you rate your own boxes?
yep ive used quite a few. Money wise the ONN 4k is a no brainer and of course my fav brand is Ugoos for stock android….call it future proof(kinda)… Not a fan of the formuler boxes , I just think they pay more attention to the remote than the box. maybe I just like a simple remote and less clutter 
…The Shield is still up there although a little dated and maybe they just follow the don’t fix it if it aint broke theory…

I just ordered the Ugoos AM9 Pro from X-Plus store. $40 cheaper than Amazon and a big plus for me, no state tax. Delivery estimate is about the same amount of time.

Very nice, a Cadilac box … If you have never used stock android it will take a liitle gettin’ used to and remember stock doesnt play nice with “certified” apps like netflix etc. But for pure iptv it is the best.

Is there somebody that can possibly email me step by step instruction fir the nvidia shield?
Im mid 50s guy nit to fluent in tech but with step by step i t is helpful.

Thank you, I was looking for last 2 days for a Troy Point tutorial, the onn tutorial was great. I tried to use it on the nvidia shield but no such luck. Ill take your advice thank you.

Keep in mind the setups will be nearly identical as they are both certified devices.
