I read the list of issues on the Nvidia site yesterday. Geesh
Hahahahahahahahahaha ![]()
A new shield may be out by then. LOL
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. That’s why I stayed on version 8 lol. Don’t even have a need to update.
The nVidia corp. is being touted as going to be the 1st trillion dollar corporation according the money news.
You would think then that they could hire quantity and quality coders!
From the bit I’ve been reading, they’re deflecting blame onto companies like Google. It was everybody elses fault, not Nvidia. In fact being as magnanimous as they are, they have dained to take on the task of correcting what others messed up. yah ok.
It may be a Google problem, but it’s Navidia’s responsibility to verify their software updates prior to releasing them!!! Obviously they’re not providing a high quality control on their end.
I interviewed for Dir of Quality @NV a few years back. I did not get the job because they said I was to critical of their quality process. Thats your answer in a nut shell.
LMAO, obviously what quality process…
I did 9.01 update and I am still having a intermittent problem .starts to buffer and locks up everything. A reboot and start over seems to work till the next time it freezes up. Any one else having the same problems with the update. This is the same problem I had with the 9.0.0.
Try the new hotfix image #4
wait…#5 is out in a few days
I just have this image of the nvidia coders all sittin around at table singing
99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall! ![]()
Never mind 4-5-6 . Just heard that 10.0.0 is coming and it will fix everything. Release date is sometime next year.![]()
For anyone having issues with Chromecast not casting. I found this solution worked for me.
Settings> Apps> System app> Chromecast built-in> Clear cache> Clear Data> Force stop> Disable & Enable> Restart Shield> Enjoy casting !!!
I just tried this source but like all other sources when I install the app and try to open the “Open System Settings” and click “Continue” I get a message that reads", “you don’t have an app that can do this”. then it goes back to the “Open System Settings” tab. What app in my Nvidia Shield do I need to to get past this message?
Thanks!
