use the voice assistant to get to setting for factory reset

Troy mentioned that the solution to bad Wolf launcher was to get the correct updated launch manager. A bad launch manager seems to be the source off black screen and other Wolf problems

in another topic, a Patron, solved his screen size problems through display settings on his Samsung remote. If not a Samsung, there should be some similar display setting in the tv settings.
The onn boxes did an update and they force reset USB configurations. If you loaded Wolf Launcher that was what the issue was you did not have to do a factory reset. Just use voice commands to turn force stop Wolf clear cache and restart the box next time.
Unless of course you just installed WL and have not restored your wifi. Installing WL seems to reset your wifi credentials, without wifi, you donât have voice commands.
The adjustment to resize the TV screen is located on the TVâs manufactures setup. Go to the TV setup to resize or adjust and refit the TV screen.
My first Onn box did the same thing. Voice control wouldnât work. Nothing worked. Tv screen still black and box is toast.
Out of the box? Or during/after Wolf and launch manager install? After hearing these reports, Iâm not going to deal with Wolf or other launch manager. The native manager is super âbusyâ, but I can live with that. Sometimes it even suggests a good movie I havenât seen before.
Projectivity launcher is awesome. Search it within the page.
Go into Display and Sound. Select the dot the suitable for your tv.
Mine was oversized when I 1st hooked it up and I couldnât see the monitor dot blinking in the corner. I changed it to 4k 59.9hz and that worked perfect for me. I did find that after a week or so it reset itself to the default âAuto switch to best resolutionâ though.
You know happened last week? They did an update. Thatâs good, but I donât know what they updated. But I do know it changed many of the settings back to factory also. All the ones I set up were unable to use the OTG setup and Ethernet after the update. I had to change the USB settings back in Developer Options on the devices I set up for family to get it working again.
It is good they are doing updates but the changes couse greaf. The reason I got them was to replace families devices that I had used/gifted Fire Sticks. I was sick of Amazon doing that. Amazon takes it the extreme. But I had to walk the elderly through doing this over text messaging and pictures last week. Fun!!
Forgot to say that one I had sent to Mother, she had to change the resolution to match her tv also. I set them to 4k for my tv and she was using it on a 1080p 65 inch LOL. Technically may have been my fault. Guiss one day I will have to get her a 4k tv.
Did you try the updated Wolf launcher? I was hoping that was the fix as advertised. I had one left that I put it on and it seemed to work. But this one wasnât affected by the last weeks update since it or I updated on setup.
I think you have to make sure you have the updated/correct âLaunch Managerâ per Troy. Also think itâs a good idea to use âProjectivityâ manager as it doesnât need a âLaunch Managerâ.
I put all my devices and any I set up on Ethernet so I didnât have any Wi-Fi issues. I highly recommend to everybody to use Ethernet for streaming. Itâs a more solid better stable connection even if slower because of micro USB restrictions. But still you have plenty more speed than necessary to stream with. This is another example of I didnât have that issue since using Ethernet.
I recommend using ethernet also. I get faster download speeds using wifi, but slower upload speeds. Someone here schooled me a while ago that faster upload speeds are also important in streaming. And like you said, just more stable. And it doesnât matter if Iâm getting 125mbps with VPN or 70mbps with ethernet download speeds.
I had same problem but when i did the hold button and plug in and it brought that menu up i used button on the box to control. Tap to move highlighter and long press to select. Hope it wors for you too
Just to give you an update, I returned the Onn box and bought a Shield. Everything works, power on/off receiver and TV, all surround sound works just fine. That box must have had a glitch in it.
I have 2 Shields, which are fine. But these $20 boxes work quite well themselves. Iâm stocked up and ready to give them out to some friends who are starting to hate Firesticks
I do have an Onn on another TV and I like it better than my FS. Nice little box.
Hello. Did you figure out how to reset your ONN streaming device? If so can you please explain it to me!
I donât have the new onn. Box yet. Still got a handful of the older ones here . If you use your TV remote control and go into picture settings you can reposition it that way too. As for accessing the folders you should be able to using ES Explorer . Good luck
I am currently having the same problem. Do you recall how you were able to get your onn 4k working again?
