Ok so it’s been a minute since I last updated everybody on the continuing dropped wifi saga. I’ve been busy please forgive me…

After about 10 email volleys with Zlang Wu in tech support over there in Mecool land, I’ve gotten exactly nowhere. He essentially concurs that there’s a problem somewhere with the Plus Deluxe and offered to accept the unit for a 10% restocking fee!!! For a brand new unit!!! Not to mention the shipping back is around $70! He wanted me to reset it back to stock but I haven’t done that yet. It’s been such a pain in the ass all the way around. I’m able to hard wire it to my ethernet switch and it works flawlessly that way so I’ll just leave it at that and if and when I really need the wifi I’ll deal with it then. Caveat Emptor!

Thank you. On my home page it want me to become a patron again. I clicked on it and I think it would take my money again. I probably mess something up. I don’t know how to use this app as will as I should. To many other distraction more important. my health.

I am not trying to add anything. I do have a km2 plus and have not been able to get the update yet.

I was just stating to Miki on my home page it says become a patron. And you answered it shows I am a patron.

I own lots of KM3 boxes but there isn’t a KM 3 “Plus” version that’s what I was saying I think it was a typo by unknownjohn.

Hi again. I noticed that, my box will shutdown everyday, it never goes to sleep (standby mode). I checked the settings and it is set to set to “sleep” in the standby mode definition. Any solution to this? I don’t want the box to restart everyday.
The box is on firmware Android build: RTT0.210829.002.C3.0.7_20231222 release-keys.

Couple of things of note on this box, the main one being some UK apps don’t appear to be licenced for use on it (BBC iPlayer and ITVX both show errors). Its not a VPN issue as I’m in the UK.

Secondly, not yet convinced it can auto switch refresh rates. Plex on the Shield is flawless as is Streamio at matching the frame rate of content. I can’t yet get the box to play ball in this area.

Hopefully can be fw fixes but no Shield killer, yet!
