My apps dissapeared from my home screen on Firestick

Please help! How do I get them back on it.

What device is this on. Please include the exact model so we can do some research or suggest a solution.

Is a firestick 4K max, and yes, I can see them through the setting, but not on my home screen. Something to do with the app store. I tried to update it, and since then they did disappear.

I clear the app store cache, data, and everything but no difference. I restarted the stick several times, disconnected from the power, updated, everything, and nothing!

Uninstall the app that caused it. Assuming that’s what happened

Do you have an expanded storage setup with a flash drive?

Yes, I do. I do have extra storage attached to the stick

App store cannot be removed !!! It part of the firestick system apps

Is not about that. When you opened the main page of the firestick 4K max, all that I can see is the regular system links/tabs, but the apps should be at the top on thesame line, but they are not, they did dissapered! I tried all the options you are mentioning in the link you sent, but that it isn’t the matter.

No your correct factory equip. Just a suggestion. In case of a new install of another library. Sorry the other guys have got you.

Have you checked for a “pending” update. Someone else had a similar, or the same issue, and did the update as well as completely removing the max from power and the HDMI port for a couple of minutes, and then making sure you have the power brick for the Max, you plug straight into house current and not the USB on the TV, and plug it back into the HDMI port.

My initial thought was that maybe the flash drive ejected itself or something. Thought maybe it seemed relevant to your issue. Do you keep the apps that disappeared on this flash drive?

This just happened to me after I put my lanai back together after hurricane IAN. All apps were gone from the home screen. I could see them in settings. What I did was open up the setting for installed apps and once there I selected each of the apps and started them from settings. Doing this added them back to the home screen.

I am not sure what happened. Strange bug perhaps. In any case I was able to get them all back on the home screen.

I did all that. No efect!!!

Both, firestick and storage apps aren’t showing. Again, all this started the day I tried to update the App Store, a second later this happened. The problem is there isn’t any possibility to remove it and reinstall it. I clear the cache, the data, and everything from that app (App Store), and no effects. It is not thesame app store that originally was on the stick. The original one was orange, the new one is blue and requires the use of the mouse.
