Movie & TV Show Scrapers

I abandoned my long time friend, Real Debrid, when things went sideways. I am glad to see it is still up-and-running albeit less scrapers. I went for Premiumize because of its ease of paying for up to three years in advance. I do, and maybe some of you, have some problems with it bringing me hugely large scrapers with so many of the scrapers in a foreign language and not letting you know in advance in the scraper profile. Is there a way to limit the huge number of large scrapers—I usually use scrapers with 4Gb or less—mostly 2Gb or less. Also, can we eliminate the many languages that are present. In my settings for Cinema, Bee, Film+, I just asked for the English language. Unfortunately, I end up using the free scrapers (Daxi, etc.) a lot of the time. I reached out to Premiumize but they wanted me to download Stremio for using torents—doesn’t make sense to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All of the streams you are access using any Debrid service are torrents.
Debrid services give you access to premium streams instead of the free p2p streams found not using a Debrid service.
The scrapers are the important part of searching indexers where the torrents are hosted.
Lots of torrents have multiple languages within the file.
It’s down to what ever app or Kodi addon and the settings used to play your chosen language of that file first.
I have set Kodi to play English as my chosen language for files.
If the file doesn’t have English it will just play one of the other languages within that file.

You can’t be Stremio for torrents. You choose a movie or show, they present you with a list starting with 4k and going down in resolution. There is always an abundance of 1080 p’s and each torrent shows you how many peers are on it, so best to not choose one with a handful to ensure no buffering. Having said that, there are many times, a stream with fewer peers but they stay connected (You can see exactly how many are on the torrent and connected in the Stremio screen once you start the program) has bee the most stable, ever over and above ones with hundreds. I’m not sure why, this was not true of using and downloading torrents using a client you wanted the most seeders you could get, not just peers who only had partial pieces of the movie, program etc.

That is debatable because you can only use certain scrapers that are available through Stremio addons.
With Kodi you have a bigger selection of scrapers to use and will have more results and also more obscure content older content.

When you set up your addons for Stremio, add everything there is that is in English unless you understand other languages. Remember, it’s added on their servers and nothing on the client end. There is never a lack of sources for anything that I’ve seen and I don’t use any premium service to add others. Once in a blue moon, I will move to another app. I’ve used Kodi off and on since it’s inception as XMBC and honestly, don’t have the patience for it. I still add builds for the fun of it but never watch anything on it.

I very seldom got languages other than English while using Real Debrid. Premiumize gives me many many scrapers but they are usually in some other language than English and they don’t specify their languages. My settings are for English only. Is there a way to minimize the amount of huge gigabyte scrapers—maybe drop down to 1080p in my settings even though I have a 4k Tv. Cinema HD and Bee TV are my most often used sites. Ocean Streams seems to be one of the best sites for current movies and TV shows—although limited—they start up automatically without showing scrapers. As a last point, would I just be better off re-installing Syncler—there scrapers don’t seem to appear in any of the other sites. Troy once said that he only needs to use Syncler.

I don’t use any of the apps that you are using but with the Kodi addons you can choose specific resolutions to be filters on links. So if you just wanted 1080p streams that all you would see in your results.
The can filter out languages but they have to be in the title of the torrent but you rarely see torrents with the language labelled in the titles.

Syncler gives you the option to install different scrapers with vendors or express packages with different indexers within them.
The best I have tried is the Jakedup scrapers and they can be configured so you can just use the most popular ones.

You can see the languages and if they are dual audio, sound details such as 5.1 or Atmos for instance. The odd one might have too much information but you can absolutely choose the one you want.

Miki what is this Debrid Manager?

Hey Miki
This looks like a great idea.

However, I’ve never been able to figure out how to use the links that are posted at github vs URLs posted here or other sites that point to files stored at a github repository.

Good morning my friend. It’s rather simple once you take the time to scroll down from the list of files. It starts with the README heading. Usually once you get into reading what’s there, you will see some blue highlighted txt and that is usually the links to get the app or further info on use.
In all fairness I should state that this is something an advanced user would attempt, not really for the beginner.

I am a beginner so I am not going to tackle this. Thanks Miki!

Completely understandable. Got to learn to crawl before you walk. Have a great week.

I, also, had the issue of foreign subtitles when switching to premiumize. I use kodi with numerous addons. I look at the titles of the scrapers and don’t use any that say multi language. It works. I run debrid and premiumize side by side and a lot of scrapers are the same on both. I really don’t care how big or small the sources are as long as multi is not in title.

When setting up Premiumize I chose English and that’s all I get. Never had a foreign source in a scrape. I also only use 1080, 4K, HDR, HDR10+.

What version of Cinema HD are you using?

This is so strange. I don’t recall exactly what I did when setting up Premiumize but I can’t imagine I chose anything other than English, and yet I get quite a few foreign-language sources, typically Italian, Hungarian, and Spanish. The language often isn’t displayed in the general blurb of info about the stream in Stremio. In any case, I don’t see anything in my Premiumize account that lets me specify English-only now, after-the-fact. I do have that specified in Stremio IIR, but that doesn’t seem to make a difference.

A dedrid service can’t differentiate the audio languages nor the subtitles that are contained within a torrent nor does it have filters.
It just gives you the ability to access premium streams.
You have to use third party software to access those streams.
You rarely see languages tagged in the title of torrents.
Most torrents will play in the original language it was produced in unless the author has removed the original audio and replaced it with dubbed audio.
As for subtitles some come with multiple languages within the torrent.
For Kodi I have preferred audio language English and preferred subtitle English forced only.
