Movie & TV Show Scrapers

That all makes sense, but how is it that some of us are getting many foreign-language torrents and others aren’t? It seems ridiculous that that can’t be filtered somehow… who wants results in English, Spanish, Russian, Hungarian, Italian, and has to slog through multiple selections to find one in their preferred language? Not saying it’s possible, just seems ridiculous if it’s not.

Not sure but I do come across torrents that have had the English audio tracks removed by the author and only has foreign dubbed audio tracks and the same with subtitles.
It’s not often but I do see it.
So the scrapers are searching the meta data on servers for titles and the information within that title.
The title of the movie, resolution,
audio and image codecs etc.
The same for the episode the season number the episode number etc.
It doesn’t look at the data within the torrent file itself, so it doesn’t know what it contains.
If I come across a torrent stream that has foreign audio or not the correct subtitle language I look at the audio tracks and the subtitle tracks and change them if it does in fact have the correct ones that I require.
This can be done usually within the player you are using.
For me it is rare I come across torrents streams like this.
But I use Kodi with CocoScrapers.
I can’t give you an answer to why others are having issues because I don’t know what scrapers they are using and the apps and players they are using.
But you will not stop it completely and some may have it worse than others.
I used to use Syncler a lot and rarely had the issue and the same now with Kodi.
I don’t think it should make a difference what Debrid service you are using.

It’s entirely down to the author of the torrent as they are removing the original audio track or removing the forced English subs for the foreign audio parts
to either save space or they hate the English language lol

KODI sorts the streams from highest (4K, 1080P, 720P) to lowest and I typically choose the stream at top of list. 95% of the time in KODI I am getting English language. If I don’t I see if I can change the default language to English. If not I’ll just choose the next source. Rarely have language issues with KODI

Stremio allows you to choose the language under settings>Default audio track.
Now when I have found what I want to watch in Stremio I have the option of choosing sources like Torrentio RD or Torrentio PM. So I choose PM. Then my scrapes are listed from 4K, 1080p and so on depending on my settings. Now for me I only ever see English, but sometimes there are dual audio tracks and in that case the country flags are displayed for the various languages.

I just checked my Stremio settings and saw that I did not have “Autoselect Audio Track” selected. When I did, it asked what language I wanted to use for the default and I chose English. It’ll be interesting to see if that fixes the problem.

I didn’t realise you had not set your player to play the English audio as default.
This will definitely help but if the torrent link doesn’t contain English audio then you will just have to choose another one.

It should do. I know that doing this in Stremio on my SK1, I never get any torrents that aren’t English audio.

Just had a look on Stremio and did a quick search on the movie The Gorge and torrentio does return torrents with dual multi language and I got a couple of results with Spanish flag and no English audio.
But you would just avoid these and make sure player is set to default English.

As I mentioned earlier. If there is dual/ multi audio track on a torrent then it will show the country flag. That’s the case with the Gorge. Torrentio RD did not have any dual or multi audio tracks displayed, just English. Torrentio PM had a few multi track audio.
So like @Avid08 said, if you don’t see an English flag on a Dual audi track then move on to the next one. The Gorge has a large selection of options. The vast majority are all English with very few dual.multi audio options.
Tx for bringing up The Gorge @Avid08 . Interesting looking movie. Think I’ll watch it tonight.

Not a bad movie. Worth the watch.

It was quite good. Not far off another zombi movie though.

Wow another Zombie movie! I remember when the Walking Dead came out. Absolutely loved it until I didn’t. Watched 6 or 7 (maybe more maybe less) seasons until it absolutely jumped the shark then I completely aborted. Is it still going? Now seems every other new movie has Zombie plot. No thank you

I actually never watched a “Zombie movie” even though this could be sort of fit into that genre but at least had a plot and underlying interactions. The the thing I hate about being a Zombie is all the walking …
