Can’t seem to watch any movie trailers in any of the Kodi add one. The crew,Fen,Seren… Is it a Kodi issue or YouTube issue?

What kodi version are you using?
What addon are you using? I tested Umbrella, Coalition, Fen and The Crew all worked for trailers using Kodi 21.
I am using kodi 21. I’ve tried it on fenlight, and Seren. But everytime I click on a trailer, a YouTube error message pops up. I’ve tried uninstalling YouTube and reinstall, but still get same message.
Just checked Seren (version 3.0.3) and my trailers are working.
My guess, and just a guess, is your error is with YouTube API on kodi. I use a build and it is all set up for me already.
Perhaps someone else here can help you with this.

Ok, thanks for your help and info. I’ll try uninstalling kodi and start with a fresh kodi. And reinstall Seren.

There’s several. I’ve been using the Grindhouse Builds for more than 6 years now. The build dev is on top of things and keeps everything working great. These instructions show how to install the Build Wizard which will then give you options to install a wide variety of KODI 21 Builds. @PapaS how many times have I posted this now?

Everyone has their own preferences.
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but I’ve tried a build, also tried just using fenlight. But everytime I click on trailer I get YouTube error : unknown. I’ve even tried uninstalling YouTube and reinstalled it using umbrella repo. Nothing seems to work!
I’m using a shield, does that have something to do with it? It’s weird because it worked fine before

I tried xenon, and also tried Seren repo.
But always get a unknown error from YouTube.
Am I doing something wrong in the YouTube configure settings?
Are you logged into youtube in your nvidia sheild? If not, log in.
I use Xenon on my shield and never have a problem.
This is only a Trailer issue. Not a playing movies/shows right?
Yes, just won’t play trailers. Ok I’ve logged into YouTube on the shield, do I need to sign in on YouTube in kodi as well?
And if so do I need to do something different when it asks me for the configure settings in you tube?
