After looking through the specs, I don’t see Dolby Atmos support. I wonder if that was just an innocent omission because it seems to support everything else.
The more I look at the specs the more I like it. If Atmos is supported I will have a rough time staying away. One of the reasons people stick with the Shield is because its a great box, but also because of AI upscaling. This has that feature as well. And the keyboard on the remote is a bonus.
Minix has always been known for quality. Actually I never expected them to come out with another android box much like nvidea. Minix was trending toward mini pc’s etc…so im meditating
I have 2 Minix boxes that worked very well early on. My biggest complaint was the UH-9 model was the best and I just loved it. However, they stopped supporting it because they wanted you to buy the newer model U22, which I did. Some will swear by them and find no fault because they are buying the newest models. Those of us that bought earlier were basically left out in the cold. They do not update these models or support them. My units are probably 4 years old and still work fairly well. For a company that markets small PCs and media hubs I think they could have done a better job. If it wasn’t for the price I would still buy from them
I’ve never owned a Minix but have followed them for years and what you say ive heard a thousand times about their android support. However often android updates tend to be more of a mess than help as google is always trying to help
