@TXRon have you ever figured out how to control the tv sound with the KM6 remote? I think that is my biggest gripe with the box. You have to turn the sound up high on the tv and then control the “box” little volume slider. Like having two different sound levels to worry about.
To be honest I dont think I ever had that issue with volume.
I always have had this issue. I posted about it a long time ago, but nothing ever changed. Most boxes will link the box remote to the TV, so you can control volume and power, etc. The KM6 doesn’t seem to have that capabilty in its software. The issue resurfaced because I bought a new TV for the master bedroom today. I had to turn the TV volume to 75 and and the mecool volume slider almost half way to hear anything. When the TV turned on and the Samsung music plays, it scared the living begeezus out of me. I have a 5 month old sleeping in that room, so I had to swap it for my Rocktek (which easily connects with the Samsung TV to control tv volume and power).
hey AMD…i have the same issue 
with my KM7–not the new plus model, i got my KM7 months before the plus came out, and when first set up it worked the TV volume like it should have, but i had to factory reset as i lost ALL audio from the box, on all my apps-tubi, xumo, crackle, etc. etc…and now my situation is like yours, have to use TV remote and mecool remote…have tried all tricks mentioned here including different hdmi cables- even bought a new one…same same…so if ya figure it out, (and good luck to ya 
) please let me know !!

The only way to solve the mecool issues would be to get a $20 Onn box or splurge for a Nvidia Shield. 
I have 2 current gen Onn boxes, 1 last gen Onn box, and a Shield Pro. It still makes me mad I can’t figure this KM6 sound deal out lol.
I hear ya. I was just bustin’ balls about it. I don’t know anything about the Mecool. Lol. Was stirring the bees

Micool is the worst device I have ever used and I used a lot of those. my MI BOX works better that Micool as far as Internet connection and RAM. Amazon FireStick(which I hate) works better. The same stream in the same place(a bit far from WI-FI router) works perfectly on Amazon but lagging on Micool. I mean, the same everything(KODI, addon, stream, movie, everything). And I bough(stupid me) 2 Micools and they both garbage, waster more than $120.00
you ever tried buttonmapper?
I have used it, but not on the KM6 for this issue. Very creative thought Ron, thanks. Will give it a try and report back.
I purchased the full version of buttonmapper a few years ago. The neat thing however is ugoos boxes have their own version of buttomapper built in

it’s a cool app,I managed to use it to change that annoying netflix button on the shield remote to work as mute

Hi guys, please I’m new here… I’m actually having issues with my mecool km7… Mine just started few days back… after powering on, it will hang around the logo part where it rights Androidtv… It’ll just stop there please i need assistance
Welcome to the community. Does your box have any peripherals attached, like USB remote dongle, etc?
I do use flash drive on it but have removed it even before this problem occured
have you tried a different power supply,or different outlet?I know that sounds crazy but it’s worth a shot.
I tried but no matter what I did inside of Button Mapper, I couldn’t get it to control the TV volume. It is so weird that the Mecools wouldn’t have that integrated into the Android TV software. Even Onn boxes link to the TV. I may have to get a cheap soundbar and use the optical port to connect to the box. If I try that, I’ll report back…again lol.
