Looking for a decent router, does TP-Link fit the bill

Let me say, TP link works okay for me. I tried for the first time yesterday to put my VPN on the router. It was nice to see Surfshark was already there to sign into to set up. Well, my internet speed is around 250-300 w/o the VPN. It is 60 ish with the VPN on a device. It was 8, yes 8 after I put the Surfshark on my router. I have another TP device set up to achieve the mesh system. So as far as TP link it self, I like it. I schedule for it to reboot at 3am everyday which can be done on the deco app. So as long as your objective is not using a VPN on the router itself, at least not Surfshark, I like it.

Iā€™ve tried a couple of times to get the ACEtherats.com Says no source. Am I spelling that correctly? ACE the rats . com?
Thank you!!

Wow that sucks Surfshark dropping the speed that much! Did you try the Bypasser settings? I use Surfshark too so I might have to fiddle fart around with it and see what kind of speeds im getting.

Thanks the infošŸ‘

No, havenā€™t tried the bypass. Donā€™t think I want to bypass ? Hope all works for you. Hey, I got a Surfshark bonus today!!! They have a beta where they are giving you a full different profile including name, location and email address. So you can log onto all the sites that collect your data with the alternative info and everything that is emailed to you (fake email) gets forwarded to your real email, totally secure. I think I love Surfshark now!!! hahaha

I thought @TROYPOINT might find it interesting that they posted an upcoming firmware update that will give you an easy to set up plugin with SurfShark to create a whole house vpn!

I personally LOVE my Deco mesh network. For a couple hundred dollars you can get rock solid mesh networking routers. Iā€™ve never shelled out for their top of the line thousand dollar flagship units, which Iā€™m sure are great, but their w7200(x68), xe75, xe75pro, x95 level stuff has been excellent. Now, to be fair I do run wired back-hull, so that may be why I havenā€™t had to pay up for their really expensive units to get such great performance, so ymmv.

ā€œ## Quick Configuration for VPN Providers: SurfShark and NordVPN

For NordVPN and SurfShark users, the Deco app has added the support to quickly setup your VPN by signing into your VPN providerā€™s account.ā€œ

PS. Troy, if you end up getting a high end router to test but donā€™t end up needing it for your home network Iā€™m not above taking it off your hands for free when youā€™re done testing, hey Iā€™d even pay for the shipping cause Iā€™m just a giver kind of guy :joy::rofl::joy::rofl::joy::rofl::joy::rofl::joy:
