Absolutely.
They just don’t have long lifespans.
Using the Kodi Estuary and adding a few addons works great for me.
I even use my Kodi to launch all my other apps from my Onn Pro, much like the Wolf Launcher.
Ain’t all that perty and all, but it’s efficient & had less headaches not to mention that the loading speeds are crazy fast.
I agree, smaller less complicated the better. Makes trouble shooting easier as well.
Been using the same Build group for over 6 years now. Started on a Firestick, moved to T95Z boxes, and now on ONN 4K and ONN 4K Pro and there has never been a space constraint, performance, speed issue. There are Builds out there (Digzz) that are riddled with issues and bloatware. Addons are great but there are really good Builds out there that work on any device
`No Limits Magic Build was an older build I enjoyed and used all the time. They kept it updated and it ran flawlessly. I don’t know what happened, if they tired of it, but I started having issues with it and switched to Xenon and then to Kodis original Estuary with stand alone addons since 2016.
Mush of the issues have simple remedies.
The biggest disappointment with the big diggz build I demoed prolly 9 months ago was the live tv, was bloody awful. Some of the other builds must work better, there was a lot of yaking about that diggz build so I tried it, no good.
You also have to take into account that these Build developers are unpaid hobbyists and when “life happens” they no longer keep the build maintained. Luckily there’s several out there to choose from
Absolutely and God bless them, I don’t blame them if something doesn’t work perfectly. In my case I don’t have any where near the technical ability to fix them, that’s why I just deal with a few addons, if one has a problem I switch to the other.
Absolutely… They’re a great group of creators and highly appreciated. I would never mean to take away from all the work they do and are doing. I’m no techie, so smaller cleaner less complicated works for this ole Baby Boomer.
I am having a similar problem as several posters since upgrading to Kodi 21.1 on a TZ95X box with 8Gb and 64Gb internal memory. I am using Kodi with only two apps, Twilight and Umbrella. Since upgrading to 21.1 I will go a few months then lose the ability to play any links. Never had this issue prior to 21.1. It worked well Saturday night, but on Sunday I could not get any links to play. The search found hundreds of links but would say nothing was available to play.
My Real-Debrid is good through next January, and I have found that Streamio and other individual apks play fine. The last time this occurred, I completely uninstalled Kodi and then reinstalled everything, which was definitely a pain in the neck. It worked for several months, but something must have updated Saturday night, making it unusable on Sunday.
Any ideas of what might be going on would be greatly appreciated, as this is beginning to push me away from Kodi.
Hmmm I don’t have a solution for you but will say that I have been using KODI 21.1 + Umbrella + RD every day for several months now and always have numerous playable links. Have you double checked to make sure your RD is Authorized in Umbrella?
I use cocoscrapper and as I said everything works fine until it does not work. All last week used both apps without a hiccup, then Sunday won’t work. But I will check cocoscrappers to make certain it is set up correctly.
Try going into your Real-Debrid account then select Downloads, then clear that section. This some times helps as well. I don’t have Twilight, but Umbrella is working great as is my Infinity, Fenlight & Coalition.
