Is there an iptv player that will work.on a tcl roku tv?
Supposedly it is possible, but why? Roku is a very locked down system. So best easiest thing to do is buy a streaming device and plug it into it. Then you can do both.
I totally agree with Throttlejockey, but if you’re in a pinch, lol… there is a way to play iptv on a Roku. You download the m3u file from your provider, save it onto a flash drive. On your Roku device, download the Roku Media Player from the Roku store… plug the flash drive into the USB on your Roku device/tv and browse to the Roku Media Player, open up the m3u and play your channel(s).
@Shayde @Throttlejockey. I just bought a chromecast with google tv to use. I was going to give it a try before I bought the chromecast. But i will use the chromecast instead. Thanks guys
Probably saved yourself a good amount of grief! Excellent.
I have IPTV Smarters Pro on my TCL ROKU TV . you have to add it through your account on a computer .
Rare Roku question here! My brother in law says that his neighbor recently installed an app or channel for thetvapp.to on his Roku, but it doesn’t work very well. I have searched and find no info for thetvapp on Roku. Does anyone know what he’s talking about? Is there a Roku app for thetvapp.to?
Not to sure about Roku devices but thetvapp.to doesn’t need an app, you just open an internet browser and enter that URL and then open any channel you want.
Right. I’m a long time user of the site, but Roku doesn’t have a browser.
Ohh damn. Sorry. Time to get them say an ONN Pro.
Yes indeed. They have an older ONN box but they had left it at their regular home, this was at the lake house. I think what might have happened is the neighbor might’ve used the browser on the Samsung TV and my brother in law just thought it was on the Roku. That’s the only thing I can think of.
BWT. There is an IPTV app that can be installed on Roku now. https://iboiptv.com/
Have a look at Troy’s suggestions I posted above.
? Suggestions for… ? Im aware of all the info, just was asking if anyone had heard of Roku having an app for thetvapp.to, because I was almost sure there wasn;t one
Oh sorry, I misunderstood your request. I thought you asked for an IPTV player, not just a specific app for thetvapp.to my bad.
I can see why you might’ve thought that because of the title of this thread. But I can’t start a new thread with an approriate title, just have to add on to something similar. I know why, but it’s a blessing and a curse.
Oh no it’s all good. I just didn’t read your post correctly. I am researching solutions and all I’ve found so far is to cast from your phone to the ROKU.
Get a room! LOL
Yeah, Roku is such a limited device. I thought this would eventually change to improve their sales but apparently they do okay without the “extras”… or so they say.
It’s not Roku that is changing, it’s Amazon! According to Luke at Cord Cutter News, Roku earns $56 per unit sold. Yes, advertising and subscription commissions allow Roku to sell a $39 device that profits them $56. Roku sales are double Amazon Fire products. Add revenue for Roku far exceeds Amazon.
Who is changing? Amazon! Rumor is the new Fire Sticks won’t allow sideloading. The reason, $$$
