Well I’m not having any issue with SurfShark and nothing blocked.
Neither am I, I got a new URL from my supplier and everything is now golden
And this shows that just because some have no issues at all, does not mean it will work for everyone.
I had the same issue, 3 different IPTV providers all quit working using NordVPN and ProtonVPN. I watched Troys video and tried a 1 month Dedicated IP subscription with NordVPN and all 3 immediately started working again, I went back to Nord and purchased their 2 year Dedicated IP at a much better price. All my IPTV is great again, thank you Troypoint!!
But I do think this shows it is not a SS issue but more likely an IPTV issue.
If you’re using the Wireguard protocol, have you tried adjusting the Netshield permissions or just turning it off?

I got Nord VPN and all Boxs and IPTV services are working great 9 Its Surfshark.
Dedicated IP address assigned exclusively to a single user - this suggests that IPTV service providers block “normal” vpn IP addresses
IPTV service providers have a vpn url which will only work with any vpn public IP addresses.
Can confirm this fixed 511 connection error by switching to vpn url
Actually I have Nord and it stopped working for Canadian servers. I have SS working just fine now in Canada. Enjoy this hobby and Stream On. Def not SS.
I’m in uk on ss tried loads of servers all went down at about 8.30pm uk time if I turn off ss no problems?
Get some new iptv’s. Not very hard to find

This is because whatever server you are using on Nord isn’t blocked by your IPTV provider. The reason these servers get blocked is if someone uses the VPN to do an attack on them then they block that IP Address. It’s pretty stupid on the part of the IPTV service to do that when they know that multiple people connect through the same IP addresses. There are other ways that these IPTV services can block that traffic without negatively impacting VPN users but they are just taking the lazy way out.

I have 5 sets running playlists through TiviMate. some for years. About a month ago they all startedy failing, one by one. I found that if I turned Surfshark off they all would run great, just like they always had. Any ideas?

I have proton and I suspect they have banned the vpn IPs. I’ve worked on this off and on for about a week. Ever since I got the 511 on tivimate. Without the VPNs it works fine. I’m still working on a solution on now here to see what others have done or tested

FYI, I’m having the same issue unable to connect with my SS. VPN is turned on. Just contacted supplier to see what she can do.
