I Have IPTV Questions!

I searched and did not see this previously posted.
I am an IPTV newbie. I’m currently using nvidia shield and have Tivimate installed.

  1. Does Tivimate provide the M3U or Xtreme codes?
  2. If only using the free version of Tivimate, do I still have to install and/or register the “Companion” app? Is there a cost?
  3. What is “Bluestack”? An app? Do I register via computer/phone. Do I download to Shield, or is the process entirely online? Cost if any?
    Thanks in advance!

The codes are provided by your IPTV supplier. There are “Free” M3U8 codes out there but they are spotty at best. You can use the TiViMate “Free” but it’s all but useless as you can only add one providerand not do much with that provider. Bluestacks is an emulator for Windows which “emulates” the Android architecture and allows Android apps to run in windows.

Thanks for your reply. The TP link you provided I’ve already read, but did not understand completely.
If Bluestacks is an emulator for Windows, would that obviate the need if I’m using nvidia shield which is Android based?

You don’t need bluestacks to install an Android app onto an Android device. You do need Bluestacks installed in Windows if you are wanting to run an Android app in the Windows OS.

Ahhh ok. That’s what I thought.

TiviMate is only compatible for Live TV with M3U codes. You have to have an Xtream code for TiviMate to show VOD MOVIES/Series. Personally I don’t understand why and I sure wish TiviMate would somehow work for all of it with M3U but it won’t. Since I watch Live TV 90% of the time I just have Startup Show for watching VOD. TiviMate is absolutely the best app because of its customization ability and the EPG guide. Better than cable to be honest.

Try Stremio for VOD. I only use the TiViMate for IPTV.

Per Miki’s comment - free version is basic and you need paid version to really get the best use of this app.

Companion App is no longer needed - it’s function was to pay for the app and control what devices you can use it on. This can now be done by the official website - be careful of fake websites run by IPTV sellers.

When choosing a service provider - ask for a trial or take out a months paid service to fully test - ask them for Xtream code portal setting

Well, tried to set up a Tivimate account today. However when I entered my email address, it came up “invalid email”! WTF? I’ve been using Protonmail for 10+ years with no problem till now. What gives?
I’m reluctant to enter my Gmail address.
Any suggestions?

Didn’t know about this. That’s fantastic. I have to manage the accounts for all my family and it’s a pain setting up all the Android/Google accounts, logging in as each on my phone, paying in the Google Play Store, etc.

Just tried again and…voila! Success! Only AFTER I disconnected my VPN. Go figure.

At least there is https://tivimate.com now which makes it much easier to manage the devices on lifetime subscription accounts.
