How to Install & Use MediaFusion Stremio Addon

TorBox has run onto a number of issues this April and have not resolved them all. They have apologized in Github and will be giving everyone with a paid sub 14 extra days. Work is ongoing so I suggest just Using the API as @Masterofmydomain suggested in other addons, but don’t expect everything to work perfectly. Patience will be necessary but I am confident they will get all the coding and fixes done. Not sure on the timeline though.

Thank you both for the advice.

Yes I am currently using the addon, although I didn’t expect to focus on what to do once it’s been discontinued as, as I understand it, there was around a months worth maybe two before they pulled the plug on it.

Also, I followed the video tutorial of Troy’s, which showed me how to use the Bootstrapper Account Stremio tool to allow the setting up of TorBox with Torrentio and Comet etc.

Being a newbie to this, I was wondering whether or not I’ve done all that I can do at the moment, and the rest involves waiting for TorBox to fix what they need to fix to resolve 100%, the issues that they have?

In the meantime, I’ve had a look at the configuration page of Torrentio, and this is what I see on screen.

Based on this, should I change any of the settings to help with obtaining the best possible streams on Stremio?

There are also a further two options that I’m not able to show, as it would expose my API key, and these are “Don’t show download to debrid links”, which is unchecked, and “Don’t show debrid catalog”, which is checked.

Should I change these at all, or leave them as they are?

Regards

The changes are up to you. TorBox will be done by July 1st but that just the stand alone addon. The API key will still work. I exclude any sources below 1080 but if you have AI upscaling then you could include 720. The rest looks good. I do set my priority language to English as I don’t want every foreign language source that has a language I don’t understand.

Thanks Miki for checking over the configuration settings that I tweaked on Torrentio. It’s very much appreciated.

As it happens I’ve mentioned TorBox to a friend of mine who is very keen to give it a try, although he currently only uses a free VPN whilst surfing the Internet.

Due to this, would he be taking a huge risk if he tried streaming movies and TV series’s without one of Troy’s recommended VPN providers, or is he good to go with the free one?

Regards

BTW, he has been using Mozilla’s offering on the Firefiox browser.

Hey Sean, we definitely recommend using a Premium VPN as those Free VPNs always come with a catch. This might help explain it more: Are Free VPNs Safe? What Firestick Users Need to Know

If you are going to use a free VPN then the only one I could suggest is Proton VPN. But you should seriously look at a paid version Troy has had a SurfShark special on and I Think it worked out to under 7 cents a day. That is crazy cheap and worth every penny. I highly recommend a paid VPN and I have had one forever. Free VPNs are often overloaded and result in unwanted issues like buffering.
