How to Install TiviMate on Firestick/Android TV/Google TV

I suspect it’s the old OS version on the tube. Try installing and using an older version of Tivimate. I know it’s a lot of work but may remove your frustrations in the long run.

Check your buffer size in playback. Have seen several get set lately to small. Setting it to higher size might help .

Any help is greatly appreciated

Has anyone been having problems with data source exceptions with Tivimate lately? They’ve become almost monthly for me, where I went years without one before….and I mean a data source exception that the problem is Tivimate, not the provider or connection. It has become a real hassle. Currently, it is reading that error on all 5 devices. I have forced stop, cleaned cache, but nothing helps until I clear the data and start all over again, which is royally annoying. The apps are up to date. Anyone?

Tivimate app is not the source of your data source exception warnings. Tivimate is just an IPTV player. Unfortunately, even though you don’t want anyone to say it, it is the result of a server limitation caused by the source you are trying to access. Open Tivimate up and then open a playlist and sit there and look at it. You will not get a data source error. Not until you try to access a source that you don’t have permission to access. If in fact it isn’t your source then it may be because you aren’t using a VPN and your ISP is throttling or outright blocking you.

I use & have always used a VPN 100% of the time. I’ve had this problem with them before, and it works perfectly as soon as I go through the hassle of clearing the data and redoing it, using the same source.

Don’t clear the Data, but clear the cache. Clearing the Data will clear your playlist. You can try updating the playlist. Make sure to do a backup. Clearing the cache may clear a bad connection state, but the issue is still with the playlist supplier.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve tried. Clearing the cache. Clearing the cache, then forcing stop. I’ve even tried reinstalling tivimate. No joy.

I had this happen too this past week. I contacted the service and they sent me a new server url. It worked.

Good morming all! If you’re reading this it means you are safe in this storm.

My internet is working fine and I can receive everything on my Nvidia, as I should. Except TiviMate. I am unable to receive any broadcasts on either of my tv’s. Is anyone else experiencing this loss? I hope it is temporary.

My Tivimate is working fine. The ice and sleet has moved east of here (Texas), but the cold remains. I am watching TV now as I type. Is your subscription expired by chance? Have you tried uninstall and re-install? I know it is a pain to do so, but sometimes it must be done.

If I only had 1 tv I would do that. But both tv’s going out simultaneously tells me the problem requires something else. I just can’t imagine what that might be.

I also noticed the last few days, where any show I am watching would play for a couple of minutes, then freeze. This happens repeatedly. Sometimes TiviMate crashes and needs a restart.

FYI, I have a lifetime subscription for TiviMate so that isn’t an issue either.

Could be the route to your IPTV supplier is down or compromised. Try a different VPN location. For example, from what I see Texas is a mess and power lines are down all over, so if your route to your source includes say a Dallas server, then you may not receive a signal, so try a server say in Detroit. You never go directly to a source, there are many “hops” along the way, any one of which could be comprised during a bad weather event.

Miki to the rescue as usual. I tried with and without a VPN on both tv’s to no avail. I also uninstalled & reinstalled TiviMate and my source of TV channels. Now I am unable to reinstall LayerSeven. I sent a help! email to them and await a response.

I’m currently using Dallas vpn in great lakes with no problems.

Ya I just used that as an example because of the ice storm and bad weather. Tx @Mslea have a wonderful day

Are you enjoying the artic cold & smow in Canada? I’m so ready for it to be over. I’m actually snowed in. Got over 5 inches and snow and fleet until 1am tomorrow. Too old to be shoveling that much snow.

No doubt. Freakin cold here -38°C and just over a week ago +4°C. Got all slushy then froze. Sidewalks are a skating rink. Very odd winter.
