The drive was already formatted with some things on it, so I just plugged it in. When I try to backup the data, I can see the drive and the folder within, but the backup fails. I have done anything in the record section of TiviMate because I don’t record anything.I will look at the recording section and see if I can get it to work……thanks for the help!
Formatted yes as external or internal?Open TiVimate and on the far left popout panel you will see “Recordings” Click that and then click right once to show the Recordings with the configuration cog then up once to highlight the settings cog and hit enter, then click recordings folder then select folder and you should be shown a bunch of folders on the left and system picker on the right. You can either use a folder or go through the system picker and on the left at the top you should see your Shield and the usb drive. You can choose the USB and create a folder named Tivimate recordings or whatever you want.
I did the above and just saved to an existing file rather than the usb. If you backup data again, does it over-write the first file or add a new one? Should I delete the old one each time?
After changes or additions it creates a new entry in the folder you picked. So what I do is make a backup then after additions or changes I do another backup, then the third time I remove the oldest backup. I always have two backups just in case anything goes wrong with one.
Got it, thank you ……….
What is the easiest way to copy and past a URL.
I want to copy from my email to tvimate.
I have been reviewing everyone’s post and just need a little help on what would work best with my combination of hardware.
Samsung TV QN75Q70CDFXZA
Dell laptop windows 11
Apple IPhone pro max 12 ver 26.0.1
Rii wireless keyboard
Nivida Shield Pro
On a side note, should I update my shield to ver. 9.2.1?
Is it working good for everyone?
Thanks
No idea what this has to do with Tivimate that is got tossed in here.
I am not a tech guy, the easiest way for me to move url, password and such from my computer to my TV box is atvTools app, it is on IOS I found it on the GF’s iphone, I think it is a dollar.
I have telegram, I set up a couple of groups just for myself, on for TV related things.
Telegram on my phone and computer, I copy to the telegram channel, then open it on the phone copy and atvTools app linked to the device I can now paste.
People will say you don’t need to make a group there is Saved messages, and there is but for me it is easier the way I do it.
Some also mention Google TV app, I could never get it to work correctly because I do not run my box off wifi and it seems it only connects to the box over the wifi, unless there is a setting I missed.
edit to add this is also great if you have a link to a github or other place you need to get to to download an app directly, copy paste to TG then copy and paste to downloader or a browser on your tv box.
It’s about Tivimate and how to copy and paste URLs into it. Where else would you suggest it gets moved to rather than waste more space creating another entire Thread?. If it’s relevant it won’t reduce any replies as it is posted on the home page as a latest reply and anyone interested will see it and reply if they have an answer.
Yesterday Tivimate [version 5.2.0 [premium] suddently began to start/stop/start/stop after a few minutes of play. After several minutes of that it freezes and I either have to power cycle the box or wait for the freeze to end, at which time the app shuts down. I’m using a BuzzTV X5 and made no changes to any setting prior to this happening other than add an m3u playlist. I’ve disabled it. I have been able to watch the same channels on XCIPTV without any issues. I can also watch programs on other apps without problems. Wifi connection and internet speed are good. I’ve cleared cache, did a force stop and run Fast Task Killer. X5 firmware is UTD. Any thoughts or suggestions? Also need to know which, if any thread, discusses no audio on streaming links. My searches didn’t find anything. Not trying to break the rules, just having a hard time finding what I’m looking for in this new format.
BuzzTV doesn’t the proper codecs for DTS audio so you have to find another source with different audio.
I’ve never had problems until the past couple of weeks. And it’s not all links.
I know It’s just the links with DTS AC as there are more coming Online. Especially 4k and HDR it’s more noticeable. I’m going to send you a pm.
I came close to getting my Tivimate set up. When I saw the email I got from Powerfader, and Miki, I got nervous. And I had more emails than I normaly do. I got to the end of being ready to pay for the years subscription. When I was ready to make my payment, it ask for my email and payment before they would unlock the premium settings. But every time I tried to make a payment, the email address they wanted wasn’t the one they used with tivimate and I didn’t remember the password. So now I am stuck. Because I don’t use the email address I use for my home email and personal mail and stuff on my computer. I know the email address they are using. But I don’t remember the password. God Bless everybody.!!!
Im hoping someone on here can answer this.I am subscribed to tivimate annnual plan, but I want to switch to the lifetime subscription. My annual subscription ends next week. The developer said I will have to cancel my currentl subscription and resubscribe for the annual plan. Will i lose all my settings when I cancel and then resubscribe?
I’m not sure but you can make a backup now and restore after you resubscribe if it does wipe everything.
No, you won’t lose your settings since you will be be using the same account.
I’m running tivimate, android box, I have fiber internet
If you are using say a BuzzTV box then it doesn’t play DTS audio. You may get vid but no audio.
