How to Install Surfshark Wireguard on Router Sneak Peak

router-speed

Running a VPN on a router is great because we don’t need to hassle with various VPN applications on our devices. Everything that connects through the VPN router is protected and that includes devices that aren’t capable of running a VPN such as gaming systems, smart home devices, etc.

The problem with running a VPN on a router has been slow upload/download speeds but that all changes now that we have the new Wireguard protocol!

Not all VPN services are capable of running Wireguard on a router, actually most of them don’t allow it.

A few months ago Surfshark VPN released a feature that allows for manual Wireguard connections. This means that we can now install Wireguard on routers!

I’ve been working on this tutorial for the past two months and it’s almost ready to go.

Here’s a sneak peak.
