I followed Troys instruction video and installed Stremio. Then clicked the link to go to Bootstrapper. I cannot get into the site. Norton blocked as malicious. I entered the URL as an exception. Firefox then blocked as Malicious. Finally tried edge. Same result. is Bootstrapper safe? If so, how can I disable blocks? Please help!!!
The site linked to in the very first post of this thread opens just fine. It isnât a malicious website and no idea why you are being blocked. Did you try switching VPN locations?
I followed the instructions and everything loads on streamio app but when I click on Addons, nothing shows up. It says sync addons which Iâve tried a couple times. Maybe it doesnât matter because I get US tv and other channels.
Thank you. I was able to do it today.
Appreciate you!
I paused surfshark. No help
I didnât mention to pause SS. Iâll put it another way. If in Canada and using a cdn vpn server try switching to a US server or even a UK one or say Amsterdam.
SS definitely blocking my connection to that web site.
Oh no, spoke too soon! live channels work well but any series that needs downloading just hangs.
Iâm trying as well, and Iâm also getting a big black box. I have the menu on the side but nothing other than that. Not sure if itâs a setting in bootstrapper or what is going on. Iâm brand new to this so Iâm not sure if itâs something that I did or not. Also, I tried to receive the set-up guide and it never shows up, checked spam folder but nothing.
I turned off Surf Shark, Norton, and all add blockers and restarted my machine. Everything finally worked. Thanks everyone for help.
I gave up and then turned it on the in the morning and everything worked as advertised. This evening, turned it on and nothing again. I think that I saw that this addon package can be problematic when there are too many people on. Iâm thinking that is the case. Not sure.
When I go to Add-ons in stremio, I do not see the list of Add-ons as shown in the video.
I have followed your latest âUltimate Stremio Setup Videoâ (very helpful, thanks) including the last video, and I therefore logged in and setup the Bootstrapper at https://bootstrapper.stremx.net/. I selected the Standard setup, selected the âLoad Addonsâ option so it showed all the addons it would load, and I then selected âSync to Stremioâ. It showed the green label with âSync Completeâ.
However, when I log into the Stremio app on my Firestick and go to âAddonsâ (as shown at 11m 25s in your 3rd video) there are no addons listed. It does offer a sync option within the Addons section of the Stremio app too, but when I click to sync there it again says itâs done so, but there are still no addons listed within the Stremio app. I have tried going back to the Bootstrapper site and selecting the preset named âFullâ and syncing it, but again whilst it says the sync has completed, when I open the Stremio app on my Firestick there are still no addons listed.
Any suggestions for how I can fix this?
Often, as this is a cloud based setup, you would need to force stop your stremio, clear the cache, reboot your device and reconnect to Stremio. This forces Stremio to reconnect to the cloud Stremio configuration for you and then update/modify your addons you added or changed.
Thanks Miki. I have done exactly as you suggested but when I restarted my Firestick and launched Stremio itâs still not showing any Addons installed. I again also selected the option with the Stremio Addons section to sync addons, and again it said the sync was succesful - but still no addons are displayed. Can you suggest anything else I can try?
That is odd. Are you using the same account on both devices and logged in with the same credentials?
Yes I am definitely using the same account - I have double-checked. Out of interest, I just downloaded the Windows version of Stremio to my PC and logged in to it with same account. In the Windows version it DOES show my addons, so it appears to be only on the Firestick that they are not syncing up. And yet a TV programme that I had previously added to my favourites when using the app on the Firestick, is also showing in my favourites in the Windows version - so there is some syncing going on with the Firestick version - just not for the Addons it seems
. I note others on here have posted similarly about problems with the Addons not showing up, so it appears itâs a common bug.
I will do some research and see if others have had this issue and see if I can find a solution. I have up on Firesticks 2 yrs ago so havenât had any experience with it recently. What exact model and version of the Firestick do you have.
On Fire Tv device you will not see your addons. When you select addons you see this message 'Use Stremio on your phone or PC to install or configure addons and press âSync Addonsâ . Did you select âSync Addonsâ?
