Hey guys, I just watched Troy’s set up for stremio and it talked about the bootstrapper site and it had a hyperlink. It doesn’t look like that link works anymore. Are there any alternatives for automatic configuration? Thanks!

The link works fine. Maybe you are being blocked.
Try long pressing on the link and then click open with the browser of your choice.
May I ask what browser are you using? Because I just downloaded brave and it’s still giving me the same message like I’m blocked. Thanks

Thank you for your quick response! For some reason it’s not working for me in Chrome or in brave. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’m trying to bypass the block. I have to look into that
Never mind. I don’t know why, however, I just went back to the link and I’m able to access it now. Lol

@Cranjis, in the Brave browser, in the address bar all the way to the right, the Brave Lion Head logo…click that to turn off Shields, then refresh the web page….see if that helps….

@dogg5150, FYI, after repeatedly following your very detailed instructions regarding AIOStreams, this morning I was finally able to get Stremio to successfully sync my AIOStreams addons. I still have no idea why Stremio failed to do it previously, but I am thrilled that it finally did so this morning. Hooray!!!

just a quick question, if I use bootstrapped to reinstall over my current stremio settings, will this delete any of my saved lists or installed apps I currently have?

Bootstrapper will delete your current addons when you first install it, but you can install them again after its set up. It shouldn’t mess up any of your saved lists.

So, Bootstrapper will replace all current Add-ons but not delete all movies and series saved in my library ?

I added the web address to the Surfshark / Antivirus / Settings / Exclusions List and then it worked.

Following the latest ultimate setup guide and I am running into problems. I downloaded the latest app version 1.8.1 onto my firestick using the Troypoint toolbox on Downloader. I have a Stremio account. I am using Surfshark. But I can not download any adds ons in Stremio Bootstrap so my Stremio app is one big black box. I’m on my 4th try now. Any thoughts?

Yes, seems to happen when it’s busy. Try again later and also try turning off any ad-blocker or VPN if running.

I followed Troys instruction video and installed Stremio. Then clicked the link to go to Bootstrapper. I cannot get into the site. Norton blocked as malicious. I entered the URL as an exception. Firefox then blocked as Malicious. Finally tried edge. Same result. is Bootstrapper safe? If so, how can I disable blocks? Please help!!!
