This is my problem. I bought a fairly new TV. The tcl qm6k. It is supposed to support dolby vision and hdr10+. The box I’m using is the x88 prox5m with slimboxtv which is supposed to support those formats also. However I can’t get them to work. I went and bought another hdmi cable that supports 8k thinking that was the problem. I have also tried other hdmi inputs on the tv one with e arc with no luck. I’m stuck and now thinking maybe the TV is falsely advertised. If anyone had experienced this or has an idea they think would help I would love to hear it.
That screenshot shows Dolby Vision and HDR10+ as not being supported.
As with most AOSP boxes, this one does not support Dolby Vision. You will see that it does support HDR10 and HLG.
I thought it was supposed to support dolby vision…guess I will be getting the new onn 4k pro very soon.
Does anyone know what happened to Slimbox website? It is gone. I just tried to pull it up to get a flash file for a Tanix box & it’s not working.

Thanks! I discovered my home computer decided to change my WIFI to my VPN router without my knowing. The education of this is Slimbox is NOT accessible if your using a VPN. Until I discovered it was on my VPN without me knowing I never realized that the site won’t function at all if your on a VPN. Good for all to know though!

You would need to know what processor it has then go here, translate to english from russian and look under the firmware drop down to see if your chip/device is listed.
Does anyone know whats going on with slimboxtv? That .ru website hasn’t been updated in almost 3 months.
And that is bad? I mean if everything still works as it should.
Do you think its good that there’s been no activity?
What activity are you wanting? I am sure the site is being maintained, if they have what I am looking for, why would I care if there is activity. I am curious what that is important to you.
If troypoint had no activity but the videos were still there for you to watch would that concern you?
Not really, the content is still there, my concern would not be if the site was updated but more of is the site owner okay? People go through things that changes the course of their lives, things that we on this end of a site know nothing about. In the case of this site seeing as how it has paid membership, I suspect some sort of post about a behind the scenes issue would be made at some point, to at least the paid tier. In the case of the Slimbox site I would doubt you would know of an issue for a while until someone close to the developer or owner came forward and posted about it someplace.
Either way I have far more important things to concern myself with on a daily basis, than if a website has or hasn’t had activity in the last 3 months.
No worries here Miki. People are who they are. Heck I can be one of them at times myself.
I still have no idea what activity they were actually looking for or thought should be there.
I appreciate your words and understanding. But I really do not want that sorts of negative attitude and rudeness. This site is about learning and understanding, giving information and sharing ideas. Really no need to snap at others. Comments like that do violate the Site rules and I honestly can’t ignore them. As a family we do occasionally get on each others nerves and none of us know what another may be going through, but in that case it’s best to bite ones tongue and take a break away from the site, rather than be rude.
