@Miki why did you move my post? I realize this is a Stremio thread but was only trying to help @Doodle1 with some easy instructions on how to get KODI running since he said he was going to move back to KODI due to frustrations with Stremio? Now I’m afraid he won’t see it
We are trying to reduce excess posts that have nothing to do with the topic as shown in the title. Kodi Umbrella is where I moved it.
Look here for kodi help.
Geez the ATV version is already updated to 1.9.3
My update: I installed 1.9.1 on my Formuler last night and my goodness it worked well compared to the 1.8.4. Seems all my gremlins have been cleared up.
A big Thank You to the developers!
On a different matter: is there still a method to “fix” firestick?
I have one in a drawer for past 8 - 10 months been meaning to try but laziness has gotten better of me. I am reading seems like lots of comments saying the known “fixes” are no longer working.
Anyone try recently?
FYI: The latest version for Android TV 1.93. Downloader code 1105477 (ARM version). Troypoint Toolbox has the 1.92 version.
That’s interesting - I downloaded v1.9.4 this morning from the Stremio web site but I see they are showing v1.9.3 now! Must have been a careless oversight on their part!
Yeah. Must have pulled it.
I have noticed in the 1.9.3 that I am now seeing all my addons again, including torrentio with all my debrid suppliers. Instead if just the rare VPN servers I was using I seem to now be able to use one anywhere and get all my addons loading with scrapes and full sources.
Morning Miki,
I just checked and I’m still using 1.8.3 version of Stremio. You think I shoukd update to 1.9.3?
Seemed to be a worthwhile update IMHO. I used the one from the official site before Troy updated the toolbox.
I loaded the 64bit version of 1.9.3 last night. Forced stopped the app and cleared cache before using. Stremio and addons all seemed to be working well.
Way to go. I’ve been using as many 64 bit apps as I can get on my BuzzTB P6L no issues at all. Stremio runs quite nicely and with TorBox and Duck Streams the sources I get run without buffering.
Hi Miki, why am on this long string that hasn’t addressed my personal concerns about no links in Stremio? Thanks, just trying to understand. Am I suppose to install an older version. I’ve installed and uninstalled a few time, no links. Is stremio worth all the trouble I’ve had to try and make it work? Thanks, Tom.
I think the thing is nobody else is having the issue and ppl have thrown in the towel as far a Firesticks are concerned.
Thanks for the consideration Miki and SoloWarrior. I am using a new MeCool Mk2 plus that upgraded from android 11 to android 14 as soon as I powered it up. I followed the installation video to a T and somehow ended up with an installation that looks nothing like any of the other screen shots I have seen here. After reading so many good things about Stremio I was looking forward to giving it a try on the new box. With the recent comments about upgrading from 1.8.4 solving some issues for others perhaps I will give Stremio one more try.
Well I did give Stremio another try. In fact 3 tries. Once again, Troy’s video, then the stremio web site and finally the play store. Results were the same each time. Now I am starting to wonder what sort of results I will have with my Kodi install on the new box. I had finally configured Kodi with the addons I needed and liked on the old firestick that had served me well for the past couple of years. Hopefully my inability to achieve the Stremio nirvana you all have is not related to the Android 14 version installed on the new MeCool box.
Thanks again Miki and SoloWarrior for your responses.
Don’t forget though. The one for a windows OS computer is entirely different than the one for Android OS. Downloads.![]()
But torrentio isn’t there anymore. I’m trying to set up knightCrawler instead. I downloaded streamio a few weeks ago but I am not getting seeders, I didn’t know you needed to download that separately. A few sights have said to download knightCrawler via addons in streamio but it’s not giving me a search bar. Is it ok to download it in downloads in applications and will it connect to streamio app or do I need to do something else.
Thanks Leanne
It is there. Here is the direct link.
