@GraceWilson Exactly And every addon in it, instead of having its own language and size filters etc., follows ONE global set of rules. So even addons that would often show unwanted results, low quality or foreign language results for example, will only show exactly what I want (if they can find it). And if two of the addons find the same result, I only see it once, instead of getting the same thing dozens of times.
There is a really thorough, step by step setup guide for it here, though I wouldnāt use the linked AIOstreams instance since it has low rate limits:
Thereās also a Troypoint tutorial but I think the screenshots used for explanations there are from an older AIOstreams version.
If it sounds or looks too daunting, I could give you pre-configured settings (they can directly be imported into AIOstreams) with the basics (best results first, English-only, number of results cut down etc.) Then the only thing you would have to do is add your debrid API key into AIOstreams, the same procedure as any other addon
This is not for the feint of heart and is far from easy to do. I have attempted it 4 times and taken an hour and a half and failed every single time. Frustration level through the roof. Even after following the exact instructions I get to the end and do install and it says it wonāt let me as my config requires 11 addons and only 10 are allowed. I have 6 I believe, no way the 10 stated and absolutely no explanation on how to rectify this. Am I suppose to start with an entirely wiped instance of Stremio? If so why the blazes isnāt that explained in about the first 2 lines. Epic fail. Way to many options and you better know what they mean and what they do. Even Troyās tutorial is entirely different than what I see when setting it up. For instance I choose Streamthru but never get the generate button. I will stick with the simple configuration of addons like Media fusion and Torrentio and add the premium services like RD and PM in a simple to use and understand configuration panel.
Thank you. I did look to do this a month or 2 back but it was DAUNTING and I didnāt understand many of the settings. I appreciate your gracious offer but Iām thrilled with my 2 minute set up BOOTSTRAPPER for now. I have no problems with that as itās got many of the same add ons.
Yes, the linked instance by Elfhosted (there are multiple, all hosted by different people and services, here is a list: https://status.dinsden.top/status/stremio-addons) does have a very strict addon limit. There are others with a limit up to 50 that solve that. Each hoster of AIO sets their own limit. Troyās tutorial has screenshots from how AIO looked in the early phases, it has changed a lot since then and even added a so called ānoob modeā with far less settings in order to make it easier to set up and understand.
I appreciate your enthusiasm but I am not one to beat my head against the wall. I gave it an honest try and is far to vague in the instructions and no explanation for what to do if, as in my case, you get a popup that blocks you from even installing it after what was hours of work. I even gave it a try after a two hour break, only to end up with missing screens and info required, and Iām far from a beginner. No idea why I would go through this again when a simple installation of addons works and those that require a configuration panel are simple and straight forward with a flow to the pages, not this click here, pop out to another complete start page, from there, fill out this, copy a URL, paste it here oh and donāt do it in the new start page that popped up. No thanks way to awkward. If they get around to streamlining the process in the future I may give it a try, but for now I find no advantage in the agrivation. I didnāt bother with noob mode as to begin with I find that term demeanimg and if Iām going to bother with an addon then I certainly want to use it to itās fullest capabilities, not the bare basics, to me thatās a waste of time.
Lol. Damn youāre quick. I was just hitting the reply when yours popped up. Tx @Masterofmydomain and good to see you. Have a buffer free day my friend.
Hi guys, just wondering what you currently use with Stremio to get the most links for daily shows like XXXXXXX etc. I tried signing up for RD again after now using it since the issue they had and it seems it doesnāt produce many links at all anymore. Is there anything else you guys use and recommend?
Just checked first episode of S1 of XXX on my Stremio. Got loads of links with Torrentio, Mediafusion and Sootio, all with RD. Do you have these add-ons installed?
I did notice that some later episodes had no links
@Gumboil@jtmon3y Please read our rules and regsā¦do not mention copyright movies and TV shows in conjunction with 3rd party streaming apps/addons, etc. Thank you.
As anyone else experienced this? I have noticed that sometimes when I look to watch a show/movie I get a ānothing foundā result. But, when I clear the cache, disconnect and reconnect Surfshark and sometimes do a restart on my Onn 4k media player, then go back into Stremio, I now find results in my searches and can watch what I want. Does anyone know why this happens or know how this can be prevented?
Hello to All, hoping to get some feedback and advise on this matter. I currently have a Samsung 4k TV, not sure what model offhand, using the Onn 4k box. My go to app for streaming is Stremio/Torrentio w/ RD. I try to choose a 4k stream whenever there is one available for the content I want to watch. But when I start the stream, just before the video starts I get a pop-up message like the one in the picture below. Obviously, that resolution is for FHD and not 4k (3840 x 2160). What can I do, if anything, to actually view the video in 4k? Is there a setting i need to change somewhere? Should I be using an external player, ex. VLC or MX Player Pro? Do I need a special 4k HDMI cable from the Onn to my TV? Looking forward to your replies.
Are you sure you have the 4K enabled on the TV? You may need to set the default resolution higher on the TV. Also check the settings in the Onn and make sure you have 4K set. I have a Samsung TV, 2yrs old now but it detects the res automatically. On my device I go into the Display & Sound section and choose 4096x2160p60.00 for my Resolution.
My 65" Samsung is 8 or so years old and Iām not even sure what itās capable of. Iām gonna pull up model info and see then make any potential adjustments to make it the best it So my Samsung model is one of 3 in the UHD TV 7 series. Resolution 3840 x 2160.
