How to Install & Setup Stremio on Firestick/Android

I never use my Syncler + account any more. Not my Trakt either. Stremio is free and keeps track of everything in your library for series and their episodes.

I can’t help but notice that Torrentio has been down for at least a week and so many other sources now showing up instead but many of them not really working. You really have to search for one that does and is actually English as well. I’ve been watching some things on Onstream when I can’t get them on Stremio. It doesn’t seem to have any problems and no ads either like Filmplus that has been for the most part a waste of time until you actually get to watch something and see your browsers open and insane garbage. Welcome to Fall everyone.

Have been using Surfshark and Stremio for some time, but I have noticed of late, even with both apps updated, that Stremio sometimes finds little or no feeds upon opening. I use both Real Debrid and Premiumize.(Have checked those settings as well). I find that I have to go into SurfShark, disconnect and change locations, sometimes 2 out of 3 times, and it is getting to be more frequent. Usually pick an east coast location and some times have to pick a UK location. Is anyone else having this kind of issue or is it something in my settings that I don’t have configured right? Any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just turned mine on with Surfshark and I get tons of links with multiple movies that I looked at to check for you. I use the BOOTSTRAPPER set up that TP provided and it’s amazing. If you’re not ā€œmarriedā€ to your current configuration, BOOTSTRAPPER can install right over the top of your current set up in just a few moments. It pulls tons of links and is a fabulous set up.

But do you have to change Surfshark locations to pull in the feeds?

Never. I’m in the USA and use East Coast servers.

Ah, therein lies the rub. I too use east coast, but have to switch around between Atlanta, Miami, Chicago and Nashville…or whichever pulls up on a reboot. Some locations have no ā€œfeedsā€ other than subscriptions. And then for no apparent reason, the suddenly do. Go figure.

I have my quick connect on Miami and use that pretty much all the time. Atlanta next and then Charlotte but I never have to switch to get links,

I use Stremio Bootstrapper and I use IP Vanish. My VPN is set to Chicago. I never have had a problem pulling a bunch of links for anything I want to watch.

Do you typically refresh your Surfshark connection after so many hours to maybe get a better connection? Mine occasionally switches locations without touching anything. I too use Miami, Atlanta and then Nashville. Trying to stay one step ahead of Netflix and Amazon regarding their ā€œlocationā€ services. Lol.

Interesting. Do you refresh your vpn connection occasionally?

I never refresh it. I let it stay on Chicago. Like I said, I have never had a problem.

No. I NEVER refresh it. Only on College Football Saturdays would I ever have the TV on for more than 3-4 hours in a row. So I never have it on for 12 hours straight and I’ve never heard that you have to refresh it.

Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the input. My Firestick stays on I guess 24/7 as I can go from one evening to the next and Surfshark shows connected for 20+ hours. That’s why I guess I thought i needed to refresh.
