So is Stremio dead? I know KODI is still working great
I just added StreamThru Torz to Stremio. Iâll see how it works out. Thanks again!
All of this stuff is not for a novice, eh? hehe
Lol. Amusing. Torrentio is just an ad-on and this is the first time in the years Iâve been using it that there have been issues to this degree. The same as Kodi add-ons and libraries that fail all the time. Like kodi itâs just a matter of switching to a different ad-on. Problem solved.
Since PM states on their website that you do not need a VPN when using PM, do you think itâs essential to always use a VPN when using PM links within Stremio? Several folks here never use a VPN and I always use one out of paranoia. But is the paranoia well founded or do you technically not need a VPN when using PM because everything runs through their servers?
Their servers are indeed encrypted and yes many say you donât need a VPN and you may not. Mine is always on no matter what I am doing. Nothing to do with paranoia. As any add-ons I use have never had any problems supplying me with the streams I request, with it on, I never see the need to shut it off. This discussion has been addressed ad nauseum.
Using a VPN is a personal decision. As @Miki said itâs been discussed a ton here. Been streaming for close to a decade and I have never used one and never had any issues, but thatâs not to say you shouldnât. Itâs really up to each to decide what is right for them
Thank you both and sorry to drum up old stuff.
I had issue the other nite and as I told miki switched server to Australia, but today that quit working , so as our discussion couple month ago with miki went back to Quebec and itâs working fine
I also found Vancouver is working.
What a hot mess again. I canât get torrentio or tp+ to come up unless I get a good server.
I know, and it seems the DEV isnât putting in much efffort. I mainly use Comet and Media Fusion with RD and PM authorized now. Might just have to ween myself off Torrentio altogether.
I just signed up for Debridio for a year for $10. Liking it so far. Good replacement for Torrentio. I also have Mediafusion and Comet too.
I know this has been beat up. I have setup Stremio on my device. I decided to setup an account on my daughters 4k firestick. On my pc I created a new Stremio account and also a new premiumize account with her username and password on both. I have gone through Troypoint tutorial several times. When I open her Stremio on firestick, click add-ons, torrential shows as added and I cick sync However movie or TV show no torrential links. The only thing I didnât see was when clicking torrential install was at top a box saying to âopen source exe.â Is it possible I canât create two separate accounts on the same ip address?? Sounds crazy!!
Did you set up torrentio with her premiumize credentials?
Also need to be logged into Stremio with her account on the device(easiest on phone) your using to add Torrentio.
Yes I setup Stremio and Premiumize with her account. In stremio I went into settings to verify her account login. I went into her Premiumize account to verify her api key.
Just confusing for me because I setup mine about two months or less ago following Troypointâs same tutorial.
As mentioned add-ons show torrentio pm installed, but no links when opening move or tv programs.
I believe I have it!! I tried and stared right through it. When I selected a show or movie, just above was all, hub and PM. I selected PM and torrentio showed. It changed back to all after going out and selecting something else. Wish I could keep it on PM (Premiumizeâ, for my daughterâs sake.
I think the hub is from another addon you can remove in Stremio add-ons. I believe itâs mostly for paid services called watch hub.
Remove the âWatch Hubâ addon from Stremio so it will always show Torrentio/PM directly ![]()
Also just in case you werenât aware, Premiumize allows sharing, so you didnât have to create an extra account for her, which can be quite costly. Especially considering Premiumize is by far the most expensive of all debrid services.
Premiumize was actually cheaper than RD on a black friday special on a 3 yr sub, which I got. Just pennies difference though. The one drawback of the service is the small fair use limit which if doing heavy streaming, can get eaten up rather quickly. However you can get around this by enabling cached stuff only and in Torrentio PM just use the + sources as those are the cached ones. Have a buffer free day.
Thank you! Getting rid of watch hub did speed things up.
I setup a different because of this confusing explanation of sharing on different ip address.
-
Data Usage Monitoring:
Premiumize uses a point system to manage data consumption. You start with a certain number of points, which are replaced daily. If the points run out, no one can stream until they are replenished.
-
Sharing Policy:
Sharing your account with people outside your household (friends, family elsewhere, etc.) is prohibited and can lead to suspension of your account.

Both Premiumize accounts are paid until February 2026, so I have time to decide.
Thank you again
