How to Install OnStream on Firestick & Android TV

I know this is an old post, but here goes. The last few times I’ve tried to watch a movie on Onstream I’d get the circling buffer of death icon after approximately 15 min. It happens at the 15 minute mark every time.
The app used work like a charm (without RD) but now I can’t get it to work past the 15 minute mark. Is there a fix for this? I was going to try another external video player but can’t find where to configure one for the app.
Any help would be appreciated. It was a good app dont want to delete it but its basically unusable the way it is.

I could only find one source of info for this issue. The users say they have fixed the issue by changing the vid playback from auto to either 1080 or 720. I can’t verify this as I don’t use onstream. Give it a try and please let us know how you do.

@Miki. Thanks for the super fast response. I’ll give it a go.

The only downside and I wish they may incorporate in an updated version you can’t search using voice. The only way to search is to type in whatever program you might be looking for.

@Miki
I tried changing the video playback quality as you had given as per your sources but no joy. I guess it was good while it lasted. Thanks for the help.

Well I will keep researching and see if anyone else has some suggestions or a fix.

Thanks.

i use onstream a lot with there player and no problems so far

Whenever I install ONStream on my NVIDIA and chose android tv or android I do not get a full screen, I get a screen the size of a phone. Anyone else.

Just started happenning on my Onn 4. Did you get it sorted?

It seems to have sorted itself out to some degree. It’s much better and usable now. I don’t know what the issue was.

Hey all! So I came across a problem with “OnStream” buffering. It was working near perfect for a long time, then all of a sudden, it started buffering once every 10 minutes or so, and not just a quick buffer, they last anywhere from 1 minute to 5 minutes each time. I know that it isn’t my network either, because I go straight to Kodi, and it works great with the odd buffer that lasts only for a quick second. I then go back to OnSteam, and it’s buffer time all over again. I would prefer to use OnStream, so does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

Just going to try a little general help.

Have you tried to reset your router? Or restart your device?

I noticed you posted about issues on yourPluto app too. Maybe a little restart (not reset) will help.

@JPM69 Hey, thank you for your reply, but yes, I tried the reboots, and no luck…

Sorry @JPM69 , I just reread your last paragraph, with the restart, and yes, I did that, but still no go. Thank you for your suggestion.

Ok no problem. My last general help try is to clear the apps cache.

Should be under your devices app setting.

I cant think of anything else off the top of my head. Hopefully someone else can help.

Change VPN servers or use a VPN if you are not perhaps?

Yes, I cleared the cache, I stopped running all the background apps, changed my VPN countries, still no go.

Thank you for your suggestions @JPM69 , I really appreciate it.
