How to Install Launcher Manager on Firestick/Android TV for Custom Launchers

Make sure your PC and streaming device are connected to the exact same network. Some networks have multiple bands, and that would not work if you have the PC on 2.4 band and streaming device on the 5 (or one of the 5’s, depending on your network setup).

Also, follow Troy’s video to get your IP address. It is within the Firestick, no need to call cable company or surfshark. Make sure you are using the right one.

M THE FIRE STICK. IT DIDN’T WORK. I’M FOLLOWING TROY’S VIDEO TO A TEE

Hello, I strongly suggest that you watch the video again and click pause between each step so you don’t miss any important details. Some of the questions you are asking in this post I cover in detail in the video. Please take your time watching the video and pause button is your friend. I show how to get the IP Address in the video twice.

Yes i entered that IP address it didn’t work

On both devices they must both be on the same network.

Miki, they both are. u know anything about the bandwidth

Someone answered they have to have the same bandwidth i I would check that

Bandwidth is defined as the amount of information that something, like a connection to the internet, can handle at a given time. It has nothing to do with your problem. Are you sure you enabled The debugging as described in the vid? Also if using a VPN turn it off until you’re done.

I can’t get adblink to connect through my MacBook Air computer because it will not accept my IP address when combined with the default Port number 5555. Any suggestions, please?

Hello Everyone, it is very difficult for me to provide technical support for this tutorial as we are dealing with networks, computer, phones, and Fire TV. The only suggestion I can provide is to watch the video again and click the pause button between each step and take your time. Many who have had problems didn’t watch the video in its entirety and once they do, they get it to work. The video is almost 30 minutes long yet average watch time is 6 minutes which indicates people aren’t putting in the time to follow the details in the video.

I wish there was more that I can do.

Typical problems people are making.

  1. Doing steps out of order and not following order in which I do things in video
  2. Not using proper IP Address…I show how to get the local IP address of your Fire TV in the video.
  3. Not enabling ADB Debugging on Fire TV.
  4. Trying this on Fire OS 6 or lower, it only works on 7 and 8.
  5. Both devices need to be on the same network. Whether you’re using computer method or phone method, both need to be on same network.
  6. If using a VPN try turning it off.

I have not tested this on Mac or Linux so I can’t vouch for that but looking at comments on YouTube video, people are getting it to work.

Guilty as charged. I used your video for my fire tv stick 4k max and I got it to work right way. Then I did it on my cube and it didn’t work. Like you said I did things not in right order. I forgot to turn on adb debugging before pushing adb command the 2nd time. I’m proof that this works and I’m old so if I can do it anyone can.

I don’t use Fire products but I bet # 4 is a big one :grimacing:

Agree…I’m sure there are plenty with those OLD Firesticks that hope this will work to revive them. I did this hack on a Max with FireOS7 and another Max with FireOS8 and it worked great. I will say the video is a little confusing if you aren’t paying close attention, because Troy goes through the entire computer method first. So if you are using a cell phone, you have to watch through that or skip ahead to the cell method (which is easier).

AMD — Did you get any glitch when you set up this new launcher? The launcher manager is recognized as a launcher itself, which causes a prompt when you hit the home button, to pick which launcher you want. The ALWAYS selection on my FTV MAX just does not sustain.

I did not have any issues at all. I added Wolf though, not ProjectIvy like Troy did and went over. It works perfectly. I had the prompt originally, but hit Wolf and ALWAYS and now works like Firesticks used to before the blocks.

Is there a post where I can get help with the new Ultimate Amazon Firestick Exploit Hack ?

What kind of help do you need? The video Troy made is very detailed and will work if you follow all of the details.

Had existing WOLF on mine. Added the launcher manager, and boom everything went bad.

Had to get into apps via shutdown menu and uninstall launcher manager to get functions back again.

Then used projectivy and had less problems. So switch to just using PROJECTivy on the FTV MAX. But had to uninstall launcher manager after projectivy was set up as exclusive launcher. Speculate that some memory location was broken when I had wolf on there.
