I think you need to change your kodi permissions on the device you are using. Go to the kodi settings as if you were to clear chache or data. Look for permissions and select “allow all the time”.
I beleive that will allow you to see the files on dowloader inside kodi.
I’m also experiencing the same issue on a Fire TV 4K/Firestick. It worked fine previously, but now it’s stopped functioning. I’ve followed all the steps again but continue to encounter the same problem. I repeatedly get the popup message: ‘Shoot… It looks like we couldn’t install Burst automatically. Head over to the Elementum Repository, then under the Program add-ons section to install it.’
When I manually install Burst, the installation shows as successful, and it appears under Program Add-ons below Video Add-ons. However, when I launch Elementum, the ‘Settings for Elementum Burst provider’ button is missing.
It seems there’s a disconnect between the two applications. I’ve attempted multiple re-installs with and without my NordVPN enabled, but the issue persists.
Any help would be appreciated.
PS: I should mention that I installed this on my Mac, and it’s working perfectly. The issue only occurs on my Firestick 4K.
UPDATE: I resolved the issue by using the EZ Maintenance+ Add-on. I performed a fresh install to completely wipe everything. After that, I went into the Fire TV Kodi App settings and cleared both the data and cache. I then repeated the setup instructions, and Elementum is now functioning correctly. The “Settings for Elementum Burst provider” button has also reappeared at the bottom.
I’m not entirely sure what caused the installation to break. I’ve been testing various add-ons for their content, so it’s possible that one of them interfered with Elementum. I plan to reinstall those add-ons gradually and monitor Elementum closely to identify if any new install causes it to break again.
I did exactly the same as you did and also followed the instructions given by Elementum and after few days working flawlessly, now today I have the same problem again
I’ve been exploring several popular Kodi add-ons recently and testing out the most recommended ones. During this process, I came across a Reddit post where I first learned about Stremio. Its platform is similar to Elementum, as it also relies on torrent sources. However, Stremio stands out as a standalone app with a sleek, user-friendly interface that’s reminiscent of Netflix or Amazon Prime. Based on my experience, I’d highly recommend giving Stremio a try.
On a side note, I decided to subscribe to Real-Debrid for 6 months to keep costs manageable. Having been into torrenting for over 10 years and building a substantial collection of downloaded content, I must admit that using a debrid service has been a game changer. It’s so much more convenient to stream content instantly rather than digging through hard drives or using flash drives. The loading times for all content, including 4K, are almost instant, a huge improvement over the slower speeds I was used to without a debrid service.
Furthermore, the Stremio provider list is almost instant whereas the Kodi add-ons need to search and wait to load before you can select one.
As of today, this is my top 3. Decision was based on loading times.
#1 - Stremio (Torrent or Debrid) #2 - Fen Lite - Kodi(Debrid) #3 - The Crew - Kodi(Debrid) #4 - Elementum (Torrent-No Debrid) 4k content did not work
The following were not working with my debrid service, getting errors.
