You can add the Torrentio addon in Duck Streams and a bunch more if you want. I adjust my addons to provide cached links only as well as 1080 and up only. I also add my debrid services to every addon. Have a look about 5 to 6 posts up
and I posted a sceenshot.
Thanks Miki. I’ve done quite a bit of customization and adjustments to multiple aiostreams builds, but tried to keep this current Duck Streams one pretty simple. I’m only using some of the core scrapers in Duck Streams (Torrentio, Comet, Media Fusion, and Strem).
I have ‘exclude uncached’ results
Excluding several resolutions (360, 240, and 144p)
Global size limits set to [Movies: 12GB] and [Series: 5GB]
Result Limits: [Global Limit: 25] and [Resolution Limit: 5]
Deduplicator: on
Most of the other settings are all on the defaults, as the ones above are the big ones (in my opinion).
The issue here may be more app-specific (with the STRMR app) than the Duck / Aio addon itself. I did some additional testing, and my Duck config seems to be working better in Stremio.
I’ll keep playing around with the setup, and will also try to further isolate whether it’s app-specific, and just with STRMR. Right now, STRMR is drawing a hard line around “not supporting 3rd party addons” for legal reasons. There’s a number of quirks with different addons (AioLists & AdioMetadata showing blank catalog rows are two good examples). Hopefully STRMR will keep working on testing these types of addons and smoothing out the app performance prior to them taking this from Beta to app store ready.
Thanks
Ahh that make sense. I deleted STRMR when they wouldn’t add a way to create a library or save series/movies within the app and went with having to add a second app Trakt. Seems you’ve done everything right. Have a buffer free day.
Nope I don’t get the screen you show . Right after inputting my pass , it goes directly to that screenshot pic I added. & no, I’m not mirroring from my phone. I used that quik start option directly on my phone. I’m gonna try doing it on my desktop later when I get home. That’ll maybe fix the issue. I’m hoping, cuz most of the feedback shows this duck system to be outstanding. If @ Miki likes it I know it’s gotta be an weiner. ![]()
I wasn’t aware . So STRMR is only out in Beta, is that right?
They just did a huge update and the old app has been replaced I believe. Scroll to the bottom of this thread and then a few up is the info.
Now that I have redone my advanced configuration over 24 times as I learn what affect the changes have on the app within Stremio, I have spent a few days without any more changes. I am very pleased with this addon. Although mine doesn’t seem to find a huge number of sources that could simply be because I only scrape for 1080 and up, the ones it does find are of great quality and play without any buffering. It does, on the odd occassion, still find one or two that are in Russian and I thought I had done everything within my power to restrict sources to English only and, oh ya, I think that may also be one of the reasons I don’t get so many sources as most releases seem to be in multiple languages. All in all, it works just fine, and does contribute to my enjoyment of Stremio. Thank you @TROYPOINT
DANG, man !!! 24 X’s reconfigging in advance settings , to get it right !!! Kinda makes me wanna say ahhhhh… NAH !!! But I’ll stay positivo n still give it a go fur Sh… n Giggles !!
Oh no, don’t get discouraged. I’m a settings freak, I love toying around, digging deep, getting to know as many aspects of an app as I can. There are simple templates that work just fine. The basic setup is also just fine. It often helps me to help others and to understand addons better. So you don’t need to do as I do, just follow Troy’s tutorials and vids and you’ll be just fine.
