How to Disable Google Play Protect in the Projectivy Settings Menu

Hi forumites,

So, I’ve encountered the dreaded Google Play Protect “Harmful app blocked” message when trying to install a 3rd party app for the umpteenth time.

Not wanting to be bothered by this nuisance alert again, I decided to check out the relevant tutorial for disabling GPP on the Troypoint website.

Fortunately for me, the tutorial covered the device which I have and use, which is the Nvidia Shield Pro.

Unfortunately, I have the Projectivy launcher as my Home screen, so the Settings menu is somewhat different to the native Home screen one of the Shield.

I followed the tutorial’s steps as religiously as I could before it diverged significantly from what I was seeing onscreen.

The following is how I managed to reach the point that is almost parallel with the tutorial.
Native Home screen:

Settings>Device Preferences>Security & Restrictions>Disable Verify Apps Toggle to Off.

Projectivy Home screen:

Settings>Android Settings>Apps>Security & Restrictions>???

The obvious solution to resolve this particular stumbling block, I’m assuming, would be to revert back to the Shield’s native home screen and go from there.

But before I go ahead and do that, I was wondering if anyone else has disabled GPP, by going through Settings via the Projectivy Home screen instead and, if so, what steps are involved to get to the Verify Apps toggle to turn it off?

As always, any and all information and advice that can be provided, with regard to this query, would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
